71%!!! The other page says 72 and to show you how wonky the percentage going up gets at the end we had $170 in contributions this morning and that should have taken us up at least three percent - we were at 69 last night, so 72 is correct on that other page but not on the home page.

I have to be at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital on Monday at 10:30 for the 12:30 biopsy.  I'll be home around 4:00, I hope. To add insult to injury, since no one has bothered to tell me on the past two weeks, I need to get a Covid test tomorrow between 8:00 and noon at Lenox Hill, where I had my surgery last June.

I now wait for Dr Yumani's office to call me back.  They called while I was on the phone with the hospital.

Here's the English National Opera's Eurotrash version of Acts One and Two of Carmen, pointing up - I guess - its contemporary relevance. Oy!

It's about this . . . car.

There's also Matthew Bourne's ballet version called The Car Man.

That lead me to this video:  Bernard Herrmann's Music used in Matthew Bourne's The Red Shoes with slideshow.  It's just a slideshow (one slide for each "movement") of Matthew Bourne's version of The Red Shoes, but it's all Bernard Herrmann's music. :)

I've seen The Car Man.  Matthew Bourne has talent.  I don't think anyone involved with this Carmen does.

New perks are up, including one great investment opportunity - it will seem pricey, but I've priced it at less than 50% of the cheapest available on eBay - it's an original cel from Miyazaki's Kiki's Delivery Service, my favorite of all the Miyazaki films. These have gone into the stratosphere, value-wise and range on eBay from just over 2K all the way up to over 6K and NONE are as good as mine, which features not only an incredible image of Kiki herself, but also JoJo the cat. In perfect condition. More souvenir programs are up and this batch includes the original productions of Follies and Li'l Abner, and then a minty fresh boxed set of 78s for South Pacific, which was they way it was originally released.

73%!!! That's on the home page - on the perks report page we're at 74%. I suspect that page is rounding up to the next point because it's that close, but the home page doesn't round up until it actually hits, whether that's five bucks or whatever.

It is and isn’t. While covid continues, she can work anywhere.

Did she also take pets with her?

Neither dog nor husband.

So, I asked Dr Yumani's assistant to call me back in 15 minutes, and she called me back in 90, around 4:45.  She said she would email me the form I needed for tomorrow's Covid text.  Well, the office has closed, and there's been no email. I called back and got a "we're closed till Monday but press 1 for an emergency."  So I left a message with a service.  I may not have a biopsy on monday, thanks to these idiots.

So, they outlined the return to the office today and, well, it sounds like a nightmare. There will be no meetings in person, which is why I’m a little confused as to why ee would return. People who want to stay at home can do so for the beginning.

People who go back cannot bring their own hand sanitizer with them, no personal items to place in their work space. They must wear a mask at all times except when seated at a desk undisturbed. If some comes over to talk to you, it’s mask time.

If you return to the office, you will have to be tested for covid every eight days.
