This morning we got a knock on the door by a man in a mask and plastic visor.

Two years ago I would have refused to open the door and called the police

I put on my mask and opened the door as he backed down the steps and then called to me from midway down the walkway that he was there from the electric company to change the meter

So Vixdad masked up, went out, and oversaw the procedure, which literally took two minutes

So yesterday morning I was inspired by DR George to get a head start on the reading of the new book. I downloaded it, and though I hadn't planned on reading the entire book yesterday, I ended up doing just that. It's mostly what I did all day.

No spoilers shall be dropped, but y'all have a fun read to look forward to.

DR George -- I saw one blank line in the middle of a paragraph, as you reported. Don't remember where, but on flipping through it today, it seemed to be gone. Another thing I saw, which I've seen happen in many Kindle books -- a word will be hy-phen-at-ed, just like that, for no reason, right in the middle of a line. That, too, will change or go away when you next open the app.

It's:  App Crap.

  Also went to the library

Did you meet an optometrist named Paul?

What did you want to take out? The librarian?

So far, that's all I've seen.  Also, one word missing from a sentence.  Really enjoying the book, so far.

DR vixmom, for what you went through, you should have gotten at least some of those extras.

DR TCB it used to be that insurance paid for eye surgery before the eyes got that bad.  My eye doctor said now they wait too long to cover it.

You just knew this was coming, the day they stopped giving away toasters when you opened a checking account.

George, what a coincidence, that’s my favorite recipe too!

;D  My salmon burger last night wasn't frozen which I find disgusting.  It is served on a delicious bun with coleslaw, tomato, and an aioli sauce.  I added extra coleslaw instead of fries.

I splurged as my weight was, note was not is, down.

I ate it all up except for a little bit of the bread.  Plus we always split a side of roasted vegetable as an appetizer.

After eating all that I was reminded why my weight was down.  After getting vaccinated I decided I had had enough of being in pain and wasn't going to worry about covid.

I am still hurting some this morning which a walk will clear up.

I eat grilled salmon.  I only have it when we are out and there isn't a tofu option.  Often I have it on top of a salad.  Last night inside a bun was a special treat.

My mom also used to make salmon patties....I know she put crackers in the mix but I don't know what else.

I usually ate one.....my dad liked them a lot....but I think most of us didn't care for them.

So I haven't ventured out to order salmon of any kind at a restaurant or smart cafe.

Good morning.  The boys and I have had a lazy morning.  It's a beautiful day out and I believe I'll be heading out on the bike for a ride.  Then it's off to Target for Mother's Day cards and a new coffee pot.  The baseball game was fun.  I kind of like less people in the stadium as there was no one in back of us and no one in front!  The company was stellar and the game was great.

That sounds like a very enjoyable way to watch a game.

Back from an omelet and small Caesar, then meeting the fellow who wanted me to sign his Nudie Musical LP. Turns out he was in my show The Manaechmus Twins back in 1974. Vary nice fellow and we sat outside at Gelson's and had a nice chat. Now I'm home and at three-thirty the Zoom stuff begins.

Back from the town of Blanco, which appears to have never heard of the pandemic or that Trump lost the election. The billboards, yard signs and flags in honor of Trump were all new. places like the barbecue joint we went to first were mask optional and few people wore masks. Same with the water buffalo gelato place.

At the barbecue joint, I had a sandwich called the Willie Nelson: smoke Akaushi brisket, pork loin and sausage. The  bun fell apart after a few bites, so I had most of it Keto-style. Quite wonderful.

Nothing Keto about the coffee crunch gelato I had. I tasted my friends' pistachio and vanilla gelati. All were excellent. The place had been open only about 10 weeks and has been overrun, which is great. The owner was passing out samples of his water buffalo pepperoni, which was also really good (we had the meat before the dessert).
