I hope he is late delivering the mail tomorrow, and I am not long at my doctor's appointment.  We would really like to be here when he delivers the mail.

The new Met schedule is up. On June 13, they're showing Cosi fan tutte with Kelli O'Hara

What a sweet idea, DR Jane. I'm sure the thought was appreciated.

Samuel E. Wright has died. Most people know him as Sebastian the crab in "The Little Mermaid." He was great in "The Tap Dance Kid." He had a showstopper in "Over Here!" with "Don't Shoot the Hooey to Me, Louie."

Singdaw, both of those messages bear more than an aching resemblance to the truth.

That 40-minute flute solo is also presented with faulty acoustics, so that half the notes sound like a rabbit caught in a meat grinder.

You can hear that Respighi arrangement of Vitali's Chaconne that bk was referencing in today's notes here:

I'm tired today. Just too much activity. A friend just told me she retired today. Sounds nice.

It looks like I'm going to visit Mom in July. And I might go to my high school reunion while I'm there. Strange that they would overlap. It was supposed to have been last year, but something happened. Some pandemic or something.

According to the article:  "This landmark Broadway evening will kick-off with the live presentation of the American Theatre Wing’s 74th Annual Tony Awards® (Sunday, September 26 at 7:00 pm ET/4:00 pm PT), live exclusively on Paramount+."

WTF?? :o The awards are only available from a pay service??  Well, that's just shitty. :P
