Can't you call the police if the person doesn't show you their registration? And if someone doesn't have a license they shouldn't be speeding.

Sorry to hear about the car thing, but -- two weeks to get an appraisal??? Because of Covid? I've always just driven up to the body shops and gotten one on the spot. That's just routine, at least around here.

Well, she could have ditched us right from the beginning and didn't. I wouldn't want her arrested. Calling the police only takes them away from more important business and doesn't change our outcome regarding our insurance. If she doesn't have insurance we will pay our deductible & our insurance company will pay the rest. Hopefully our premiums won't go up.

Even if there was a place near us to get a loaner car we had no place to leave our car to be fixed.

I know. That is what we expected to do. Our first surprise was that we couldn't use the body shop at the dealership.

We looked into renting a car in Chicago and were shocked at the cost. The cost to begin with to park a car in a city hotel is high. We decided to forget it and took the train from the airport to the hotel.

I know people who normally rent cars when they go to LA and did without for recent visits.

Keith got an ok from the insurance company to go to the dealership. We have an appointment tomorrow morning for an appraisal. I hope we can then get the work done sooner than later.

The meeting went well enough. We're moving on Wednesday, so things have to be boxed up by then. I hate moving, but at least it's really only about hald a dozen boxes, and a bunch of personal stull that I'll take home.

By the bye...

I did watch Georgy Girl last night, and loved it. Lynn Redgrave is phenomenal, as is the rest of the cast. I'm so sorry I didn't see it back in the day. I must find out where and when it played in my town.

I also made it another double feature, by first watching a heretofore unknown to me Amicus thriller, The Psychopath. It's a strange one, and the transfer is the same, with vertical scratches running through it intermittently. But it's entertaining enough, and since it's such a weird one I'm interested in hearing the commentary next time I'm in the mood. I heard the first ten minutes and the guy sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

We have rented a car. With such a limited selection we are pleased with the Mazda we got. I can't recognize a Mazda from other cars, and it is black, so I took a photo of the front license plate to keep on my phone

Then around 11:30 I received a phone call from an office manager of a law firm where I had submitted a resume through Indeed.com last Thursday evening
