In the "before-times," there was only one time, or maybe two times, where I had accrued 240 hours of vacation. Otherwise, I would nickel-and-dime it all the time and keep it well below the cap without any trouble from my previous supervisor.

My new supervisor now is more by-the-book and wants ALL vacation pre-approved (that's the official policy, but ultimately, it's up to the supervisor to require that or not). And she doesn't like me to take an hour here or there, so I need to figure out when I can take my vacation and submit it beforehand.
