So I watched the second two films in the "Karnstein Trilogy" last night.
And what a weird trip that is, seeing three films made practically within the same year, all sort of related based on original source material, but except for the composer (Harry Robinson) and a sea of heaving Hammer bosoms, not having too much in common with each other. Peter Cushing is in two of them, and it almost goes without saying that he could elevate a movie just by being in it. And really, there's not much wrong with anyone else in the casts. But those scripts... oh my.
Out of curiosity, I will listen to the commentaries on these sometime. But not right away. At this point I require a little "space" from them.

I will move on now to
Countess Dracula for my first time, and then
Vampire Circus to bring this little binge to a proper conclusion.
