Butter and plenty of Tabasco or Frank’s Hot Sauce on top of my grits, thank you.

Shrimp and grits are good, but not my favorite. I think I miss the hot sauce.

I have a friend who loves grits but hates polenta. Go figure. She knows they’re basically the same thing, but …

Last night our Long Island PBS station began Season 2 of Sanditon. I could not watch it, but I look forward to it.

Elmore, do you have access to pbs.org? It should be on there.

DR Ron thanks for the report on "A Dog's Purpose".

I have to tell you that the dog in question has a progression of lives and masters, one of whom is the primary and to whom the dog keeps returning.

With every passing, though, the tears flowed.

I had read the book after Keith's Aunt kept insisting I read it and was glad I did.  I watched the movie with Keith and thought it followed the book well enough.

Several days ago, DR JohnG mentioned watching Just Around the Corner. I knew my favorite Shirley Temple song, "I Love to Walk in the Rain," was in the film, but I'd never seen it. Lat night we watched it. It's not a great movie, but it kept a big smile on my face throughout, and I loved the cast, especially Joan Davis and Bill Robinson, and the Big Song, which made me weep with joy.

They were wonderful in that.

I carbed up one of my pumpkins finally and roasted it. The seeds are in the oven now.

I have enough pumpkin to make some soup and to freeze a bunch for later.

On Friday I attended the farewell party for two coworkers. It was outdoors.

Got a message today that one had tested positive for covid. I don’t know if it’s between insurance policies for her.

So, I had to take a test today. Negative.

It was chilly last night. Around 4:00 Annabelle crawled under the blankets with me, and Thatch settled next to me shortly after that. Last week, after our DR vixmom submitted my name to the Penzey spices people that I needed a hug, I received a fluffy blanket from them with their good wishes. It's at the foot of my bed with the cats' kitty blanket, and Stella has dec lared them her territory.

That's so cool, Larry!

I have thought long enough and decided for the TOD that my favorite film noir is OUT OF THE PAST.

There are several that I enjoy and have watched several times, but I keep coming back to this one.

Back from a lovely day visiting with my high school friend. We walked. We ate. We talked. It's like the intervening years never happened!
