I plan to spend the two hellish days inside working on keyboard programming, with short breaks to go out on the deck for a hot dog and a refreshing beverage and a reminder of what Hell is like. I am glad they’ve scheduled the Hell for just those two days this time.

Yesterday I listened to the Kritzerland re-do of the I Do! I Do! revival CD for the first time since we performed it in fall of 2017. (How in the HELL have four and a half years gone by since we did that??) The recording is great, and an essential document of the Schmidt-Jones canon.

Wow, listen to me. “An essential document of the Schmidt-Jones canon.” Sounds impressive! I think I’ll keep it. I must try to remember to casually drop it at parties.

I don’t know if anyone here is into H.P. Lovecraft stories, but we here in this household enjoy some of the movies based, however loosely, on them. With the passing of Fred Ward, this homage-y one came to our attention, one I didn’t remember even hearing about, and for my taste it sounds well worth checking out. We’ll be watching it soon on HBO Max, possibly this weekend.
