Well, the big day has finally arrived.

I feel like I've been in Foggy Bikini Bottom Under a Sea for the better part of a year, and today is ... MY VERY LAST DAY THERE.

A matinee (which, I must say, ain't no Pinter play), then getting well fed by parents who do a bang-up job of providing a wonderful buffet in between, and the closing performance. A few minutes of par-tay-ing afterwards, and I'll be outta there.

Vibes for closing day and evening, Chas!

George, who is the hillbilly from Kentucky?  Is he someone you regularly follow?

From George:

I don't follow a  hillbilly from Kentucky.  I'm sorry, but I don't know about whom you are referring.  Did I post a video from this person? :-\

The guy you posted saying  "This should be fine"  called himself a hillbilly from Kentucky.  I don't know his name.

Remember Alfie, the lost British cat in Gloucestershire? He is dead. His body has been found. Knowing how much I would mourn the loss of one of mine, I'm sure his mum is completely devastated.

DR singdaw, what’s the first thing you will play when your new piano is set up?

DR singdaw I was hoping you would play Tchaik's first piano concerto in B flat Minor.....my favorite since I heard Mr. Van Cliburn play it on the Ed Sullivan show.

I was nine years old and you were not yet  born.

Vegan Can Be Murder has also landed here in the Midwest today. Looks so spiffy! Love the extra gift, too.

DR singdaw does your new apartment have better views?

I am assuming it is bigger and has more space.

Will you put a wooden "D" on the wall?

 ;D

It is almost twice the size of the current one. It's on the same floor, so the view isn't different, although there are more windows and it has southern exposure, so there will be a lot of light.

I'll get back to you on the "D"!   :)

Ooh, in the name of filling in posts - Can I "sneak in" an old MTM theme song double parody?

This had been my YouTube musical offering in tribute to Ed Asner in the 2012 Broadway play GRACE and then to Georgia Engel for her performance that same year in Annie Baker's adaptation of VANYA .

It was like a "Mary Tyler Moore Show" Festival in New York theater - as the MTM cast took turns co-starring onstage with Michael Shannon!

First, celebrating Ed Asner in GRACE / then, at 0:49,  celebrating Georgia Engel in VANYA
