I also like Elmer Bernstein’s Magnificent Seven theme.

Et moi aussi!

To that I would add Max Steiner's "Tara's Theme" from Gone With the Wind, Jerome Moross' The Big Country theme and John Williams' original Star Wars theme.

Birdy is at the Tweet Suites. There were many birds today, all bigger than him. He will ignore them all.

Vibes that Birdy does well at the Tweet Suites!

Back from the cat place.

Now for a shower and a change of clothes, then out again to get a bunch of music from someone for the little "master class" on Saturday.

From DR George:

I went to Costco yesterday in preparation for today's meal (and game of Phase 10) at my mom's, and I had a gift card from my birthday.  I used my Costco gift card to buy Subway gift cards!

The gift cards are for you, right?  Do they save you money like the See's cards are a savings?  Thanks for the reminder that I need to buy more.  I don't know why I didn't do this years ago.

LOL, if I had kept reading I would have seen that you answered my questions.

TOD
Many of the Bond theme songs up to Nobody Does It Better are favorites. I also liked To Sir With Love which surprisingly was nominated for an Oscar. There are many theme songs that were Oscar nominated and I have a collection of them up to about 10 years ago. A lot of them were good and quite a few were terrible and I wonder how the hell the music branch even nominated them.

I agree about the Bond theme songs.  I was not surprised that  To Sir With Love was nominated. We worked at the Bruin Theater when it played there and never tired of watching the movie or listening to the song.

Joanie Sommers' version of A Summer Place is also a favorite - it was the flip side of her 45 rpm hit Johnny Get Angry....or as she sang it:  "Johnny Git Angry."

I really like the main title theme from "Harlow" by Neal Hefti.

The movers come tomorrow. We have gotten a lot done. Unfortunately, our access to the new apartment is limited today, as they first were cleaning it and then plan to install a new stove, a new microwave, and a new dishwasher.

I don't know why they would clean first and then make a mess doing all the installing.

I’m partial to the Lettermen Theme from A Summer Place, but I prefer the Faith version the best.
