And then they’d ask you other questions, and then they’d play notes later on, and they’d say, ‘Which is the note we played from one hour ago?’ And I’d, like, get it right, I guess.”

It was about 80 degrees when I got up this morning, so I guess my walks will now begin at 5 a.m.

From DR George:

Quote
I went to Costco yesterday in preparation for today's meal (and game of Phase 10) at my mom's, and I had a gift card from my birthday.  I used my Costco gift card to buy Subway gift cards!

The gift cards are for you, right?  Do they save you money like the See's cards are a savings?  Thanks for the reminder that I need to buy more.  I don't know why I didn't do this years ago.

LOL, if I had kept reading I would have seen that you answered my questions.

Wordle 1,423 6/6

⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜

Whew!  That wasn't an easy one. :-\ A lot of guesses that (fortunately) turned out to not be real words.

Wow, and did you mean unfortunately?

Nope...fortunately.  That meant that my incorrect guesses didn't use up my chances.

The movers come tomorrow. We have gotten a lot done. Unfortunately, our access to the new apartment is limited today, as they first were cleaning it and then plan to install a new stove, a new microwave, and a new dishwasher.

That's great thst you're getting new appliances, Singdaw.

I don't know why they would clean first and then make a mess doing all the installing.

I hope it didn't make much of a mess.  Our new oven and cooktop didn't.

I wanted a salad. The only place open was a Mexican place. Their taco salad is just fine. And beautiful.

Is it pretty there?  The name sounds like it should be a lovely spot.

It looks good though I would have black beens instead of chicken, and extra guacamole.

Yes, DR Jane. The carpets, flooring, and paint have all been re-done in the past week.

Theoretically, our Internet cuts off here tomorrow and starts up in the new place.

I just got the greatest news ever. My boss texted me. Our division applied for an excemption from the new state policy, and it was approved. I will NOT have to return to the office, but can continue working remotely 100%.

That is WONDERFUL news. I was a model remote worker (if I say so myself), and I wish MY boss would make that happen again.

Oh wait.

I haven't been in that job since 2011.

The Four Aces also do a great theme for “You Can’t Run Away From It,” one that’s actually used over the opening credits.
