I will watch the links that DR FREDDIE posted later today.
Here's a hilarious (to me) little text change I know from reading the score:The macabre ending phrases are no longer sung/portrayed by embalmers. (The embalming of Eva Peron was actually a "thing" at the time.) Now they're mourners. I guess we can't have embalmers in a musical now. What is this world coming to?
We got another wonderful review. This is the first review I can ever remember with the chorus complemented for our acting as well as our singing:https://www.almanacnews.com/ae/2025/05/29/review-villain-takes-center-stage-in-west-bay-operas-otello/

What is this world coming to?At least we can have embalmers in opera! We had an embalmer in Corpus Evita - the same doctor who was giving her an injection to get her through her farewell speech at the top of the show.
Asha is hanging on. I don't expect her to recover, though. We didn't get the blood results back. I picked up some moussed foods for her. She wasn't interested.
Nice pre publicity DR GEORGE
Our former DR Edisaurus posted this poem by Michael Joseph this morning on Facebook:

I didn't have any reaction to the second shingrex shot. Just the first. And my mom had shingles. She was very very tough. But it was awful for her. And a man at church had it in his eyes.
I am almost disoriented, with no morning or even afternoon obligations. Not only today, but for the next few weeks! Xfinity/Comcast is coming out Monday instead of today (I moved it) to check things over, and I have my teeth cleaning and checkup on Tuesday. After that, we'll see...
Today, rest and ketchup on many things. And I have a lovely play to attend this evening: The opening of Moon Over Buffalo directed by Diana Canova. It will be great to see it again, and to see her. Last time I saw her was the opening to her Moon Over Buffalo at the other theeder. That was great, but I just "know" the production at this theeder, as a whole, is going to be better in many ways.
More health and strength vibes for vixmom!
Annabelle just handed this to me and returned to her afternoon nap.
Musically, the next thing on my calendar as of right now is playing Keyboard 2 in Evita which runs in July. Yesterday I was browsing through the part, and while I'm happy to finally have a production to participate in, the bizarre changes in the score that happened - I dunno, at least a decade ago? - are positively disheartening. The best way to explain that is that, in general, some of Sir Andrew's musical style (probably some orchestration, too) that many of us loved in the original have been altered. Let me put it another way. They've been dumbed down. Made more ordinary. Is it the same show? Pretty much. Same score? Sure, except for the inclusion of a song apparently written for Madonna in the movie that, to my ears, doesn't sound in the least like the rest of the score. But of course people must have movie songs, just as in other shows, and everyone will adore it.
They don't, right??
