Wife was picking up a prescription at the Blaine Rite Aid the other day and they tell her it’s not ready, come back in an hour. Comes back, sorry we can’t fill till we get comfirmation from your insurance which could take days. “I live an hour away, couldn’t you have texted me?”
Guy goes, “We’re bankrupt, so there are some glitches lately. We might not even be open in a couple days.”

Yikes!! :o

Guess I'll go to the mail place and see what's what, and then figure out food.

I'm still not quite sold on this book, but we'll see how the next forty pages go because that will tell me what I need to know.

And then they’d ask you other questions, and then they’d play notes later on, and they’d say, ‘Which is the note we played from one hour ago?’ And I’d, like, get it right, I guess.”

They brought me homemade tortillas, beans, rice, grilled chicken and onions, and grilled corn on the cob.

I could smell the stuff cooking when I was on the patio.

These are the neighbors I share my vegetable box with. The house where Wae-Ling used to live.

The police are training with flash bombs next door to the church (which is around the corner from me).

It would have been nice to have been warned. We were all pretty upset with the explosions.

I walked over to the church to be sure nothing was going on there, and I saw the signs.

George must REALLY be painting the town and going the way of all flesh, if you get my meaning, which I'm sure you do.

After last night's opening night, I didn't get home until about 11:30.  I was pretty beat and just needed to get to sleep...so I did.

Sleep is good :)

The show went well.  The audience wasn't filled (probably 3/4ths filled), but they thoroughly enjoyed the show.

I'm glad it went well.

DR Laura, sad news about Asha. I'm so sorry. I cannot believe her original owner had her for 12 years ans gave her up because of his wife. I'd have kept the cat and lost the wife.

I know quite a few people who would not get into a relationship with someone who didn't like their pet(s).

Keith wasn't a cat person before we started dating but that was ok cuz he was an animal person who of course became a cat person.

DR Rodzinski, I am curious why you thought the prescription was ready and waiting for you.

Wasn’t me but Mrs R. Usually our doctors call in a script after a visit, and we drive over and by the time we get there, it’s ready or within a few minutes of ready.

Rodzinski, did you see the New York Times "New York Today" article about Mr. Moylan's successor?  (The article, of course, discusses Mr. Moylan a bit.)

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/22/nyregion/green-wood-cemetery-meera-joshi.html
"NEW YORK TODAY
Goodbye, City Hall. Hello, Green-Wood Cemetery.
Meera Joshi, former deputy mayor for Eric Adams, is taking a new job with the famous Brooklyn burial ground."

No, just wrote a short thing about Ms Joshi myself.
