We were on the Jurassic Park ride at Universal when it suddenly stopped for a while.  It was pretty creepy, because until we were off the ride, there always felt like danger of a technical mishap.  And while sitting there, it felt like being on a stuck elevator - you never knew whether the stoppage would be resolved quickly or take a long time.

I really want to take  Grandson there. Maybe some day.

If it's the same tune I'm thinking of, we used to sing it to V I C T O R Y

I read The Terminal Man and The Andromeda Strain in my youth and enjoyed them, but can't remember much about either one. I don't remember if I saw the movie versions or not. Coma also rings a bell. I've avoided all the Jurassic Park things.

I have read and thorough enjoyed Michael Crichton's Airframe.

I may have read that. But I don’t remember anything but the title.

I finished The Brutalist. I liked the epilogue and parts of the movie.

Michael G, what did you think of your French movie this week? It was Les Diaboliques, right?

I feel so horrible for the Texas families. The current regime decimated funding for forecasting, degrading the systems, and then fired most of the scientists, and this is the result. Expect more.

I doubt it would have made a difference if the changes had not been made.  DR John probably knows more about that than I do.

The Andromeda Strain is the first Crichton book I read, when it was first published in 1969.  I couldn't put it down.

I thought the movie with Arthur Hill closely followed the book.

Just because

Lots of fun!  In those day, you couldn't fail to get applause with a kick line.

Appropriate song for the stock exchange highs this past week!
