Buy Me That Town was a fun flick. Lloyd Nolan always solid as a gangster with a soft heart who buys an unincorporated village to use the jail as a lucrative boarding house for white collar criminals on the lam. He ends up making the town nicer and seeing the value of the straight life, thanks to Constance Moore.

Vera Vague is hilarious as a kind of gangster groupie and wannabe moll. Recommended.

Suddenly we have an extremely annoying teenager and their relationship has deteriated. We read reviews to decide if we wanted to continue watching. The opposite of killing off a charactor that was not killed in the books happened, they followed the game closely and killed Pascal's charactor.

TOD: I watched Silicon Valley until the first season without TJ Miller. In the first episode the main character was repeating the same mistakes he's made throughout the series, having apparently learned nothing from recent experiences. The series as a whole had degraded since it's brilliant opening season, but that was the tipping point for me.

Would keeping some kind of "pee bucket" near the bed help the situation, maybe one with a cover so that the cats won't knock it over?
