I woke up way too early, but it was a very weird night. The first night in a week with windows open, and it wasn't QUITE cool enough do that comfortably, but I wasn't going to relent and I got through it okay. It was just weird. The overnight lows starting tonight will definitely not be cool enough, but the breeze from my small fan* will suffice.

*Said fan was still at the venue for the show, where I use it in the orchestra tent. But we close tonight and it comes home.

DR Elmore, that is a VERY exciting musical project.

I haven't watched the 1925 Phantom in a long time, and I will check this myself later, but I'm wondering if that piano score is played on any of the DVDs/Blu-rays I have here. I've become very interested in the silent movie era itself these past several years, and certainly in the scores written for them. Keep us informed!

This is a little unusual, but today they're having a cast party from 3:00 to 5:00 pm PRIOR to the closing performance at 8:00, at a very popular local restaurant oft frequented by theeder people -- https://www.rosytomorrows.com, in case anyone who's been in this area is familiar with it.

They do some things a little differently at this theeder, but there are always kids and other younger people involved -- and being outdoors, all shows are at night -- so these days they tend to avoid the late night bash that's more the fashion elsewhere.

Tonight is our closing night and I'm fine with that.

I hope we have a responsive audience. So far last Wednesday was our best....

The weather report has changed and the severe weather seems to be north of us now...although a bit of rain may strike at 6 p.m. or so. Time will tell.

That's an interesting question. I know Carl Davis composed new scores for several silent films, including - I believe - The Student Prince, which I love, and Ben-Hur.

I honestly cannot remember that many TV movies. The one I've a;ways wanted to see is Look Homeward Angel, and it's never turned up. I really love the original Pulitzer-winning play by Ketti Frings.

I loved The Night Stalker.
