You can add me to the "Grim Grinning Ghosts" list. Anything Haunted Mansion-ish or dark-ish in general is always extra fun.

Thursday morning greetings!  I had my echocardiogram on Tuesday and it must not have shown anything too alarming.  They let me leave and I haven’t heard anything from the doctor, so I’m hoping no news is good news.

DR ChasSmith, we’re among those who go out a lot less than we used to.  Pandemic had something to do with it, but I think it’s also an age thing.

Jrand or John G, have you ever danced to that (quite non-Disney) song?

Wonder where they posted their link, besides castrecl and the Times comments.

A question for the class:

Does anyone here follow the Facebook page called The Oscar Hammerstein Museum & Theatre Education Center?

I see their posts in my feed, but they never get anything but a few "likes". There's never a single comment. By anyone. I clicked on Comment just to see if it's working, or if it's restricted in some way, but it opened up like normal and seemed ready for me to say something. Just curious.

Andy Hammerstein posts occasionally on his own page, mostly about his painting or maybe something else going on, but he doesn't post on that other page either. He's listed as a follower, though.

I know nothing.

Such fun to exercise to in its day.  Must be such an exciting song for people who can REALLY dance!

I saw Z Channel doc many years ago. In fact I believe the HHW record will show I was the very first to view it. And yet…I remember so little about it.

I absolutely love The Second Star to the Right. And I love our version of it on the Peter Pan album, one of the loveliest of Crista Moore's always lovely performances, along with elmore's orchestration of it.

I'm kind of with elmore about the Golden Age of Disney songs - there are some treasures, but they went their own way and rarely used popular movie composers of the day, although Swiss Family Robinson had English composer William Alwyn. Treasure Island had Brit composer Clifton Parker. But the stuff shot here always had Disney composers like Paul Smith.
