And in a stroke of genius casting: Eric Blore is playing a butler. Now, whoever would have thought of that?

Gelatin is a clue to the murder. But haven’t seen any killer Jello molds. Yet.

Pill three in five minutes - then I'll watch something - just "saved" a bunch of stuff to watch later.

I have three things I have to take care of and instead of spreading them out over the whole week, I am going to try to get everything done in the morning.

Time will tell.

I was inspired to watch The Last of Howard episode of Partridge Family as the kids’ bedtime viewing.

My son wanted to know if it was filmed on an actual cruise. Like, did the ship leave port or was it all done while docked?

Seemed like a lot of dialogue had to be looped. Even the indoor stuff. Was that a challenge?

The entire episode was shot on the Fairsea. A few of the actors (not the core cast) got to cruise to Acapulco, stopping at Puerta Vallerta and Mazatlan first. The cast and crew joined us in Acapulco and we shot the episode cruising back to LA.

The entire episode had to be looped - oh joy - and what a day THAT was. I had never actually looped anything before. Quite a first time. I got used to it pretty quickly but it was exhausting.

I had to do a form of looping on a TV movie version of If I Had a Million, but Universal had a really clever way of doing it I thought. As soon as I wrapped my scenes, I was driven to the studio. There, i was put in a booth. They played my location dialogue and then I recorded it exactly as I heard it. If it was too long or short, I'd repeat it until it was right - that was a piece of cake.

All this stuff is in the first memoir, There's Mel, There's Woody, and There's You. Really fun looping was doing a TV version of The Creature Wasn't Nice - we had to replace some mild cursing.

On Prime Suspect, Dana Plato was supposed to come in and loop her death scene. She never showed, never called - she was even then starting to spiral down. So, I called my friend Marsha Kramer - she came down and all the screaming in the death scene is her. Thankfully, all the production sound on the outdoor scenes was useable.

DR FREDDIE I think the power outage was heat related.

WOW DR GEORGE that's some Niagara!

I know!  On the condo complex's private FB page, there's a seven-second video of the water just shooting all over that wall next to the window!
