Why I think it is possible the driver didn't see the person.... It was night time and "Witnesses reported that the pedestrian had laid down on the roadway and was struck by the vehicle"

But then you were driving that road and would have a better idea of the clarity of someone on the ground.

We had such a good time showing Craig Astoria. Beautiful Cannon Beach with the haystacks was also used in The Googies. We made sure to show Craig saw that as well as we were driving out of town.

Nothing set to watch tonight. After returning home from our Goonies tour, we of course watched The Goonies last night. I think Keith and I took the boys to see it when it was released 40 years ago. We really didn't remember it. Craig apparently has seen it numerous times since then.
