I slept well for a while with Thatch and Annabelle beside me. I like this sleeping situation.

Then, around 12:30, Annabelle left the bed and never returned, and I spent too much of my waking time waiting for her return. I think she wanted to sleep in the new Amazon carton that arrivedyesterday afterenoon. Around 5:00 there was a crash; something fell or was knocked over by either Stella or Annabelle. I must go in search of the mess after kitty cleanup.

But these days I just eat a Big Ass Salad, which is mostly lettuce, plus whatever vegetables I happen to have in the house.

I break salads into two categories: sandwich and table, so here are my thoughts:
Sandwich: shrimp. tuna, chicken
    On my first trip to New York, Dec. 1966, I discovered the inexpensive Chock Full o' Nuts restaurant chain and fell in love with their shrimp salad.
Table: Cobb, tomato & mozzarella, Mexican, three-bean, macaroni, potato

Last night, I watched a 60-minute documentary about my friend choreographer Phil Chan, his friend ballerina Gina Pazcoguin, and their mission "Final Bow for Yellowface" (https://www.yellowface.org). The film is quite wonderful and moving, with lots of shots of the opening night cast of our ballet Star on the Rise at Indiana University.

It's really excellent.
