I, very fortunately, still have the DVD that I was able to get autographed by both Lance Guest and Johnathan Betuel (the writer of the movie) when both were at the Village Theatre's New Musicals festival in Issaquah when the musical played there!

Still thinking it's not delusional to keep holding out hope for the show. There's a huge mega-budget video-gamer musical called OTHER WORLD https://otherworldmusical.com making its way through tryouts, and if that show succeeds big, it feels like theaters would be looking for a lower-budget show on the same framework and theme. (Maybe like other versions of PHANTOM benefited from ALW's.)From what I can tell, that show's lawyers had been angling to get the rights to the LAST STARFIGHTER movie, but of course they found out we'd had the stage rights to the screenplay fully merged since 2004.
BK, is there some reason the Kritzerland mailing label has my name spelled Frederic rather than Frederick? This different spelling isn't a problem for Kritzerland orders getting to me, but in other places like CVS for example, the system doesn't always recognize that the misspelled "Frederic Landau" and "Frederick Landau" are the same person.This spelling thing started when I was doing medical stuff three years ago and the clerk there accidentally left off the k in my name there. I'd never had that happen before.
Some of the material in current events is so upsetting. Glad Randy Rainbow and Andy Borowitz are able to make this all funny.
