So last night, continuing my impromptu tiny Sidney binge of the night before, I followed A Patch of Blue with To Sir, With Love. It's also excellent, but with a somewhat lighter touch due to the kids, the songs, etc. Speaking of which, I love the title song, but by the time we get to the big moment when it's sung in the movie itself, we're already familiar with it, and I think that moment would hit even harder if that had been the first time, at least since the main titles, that we were hearing it and getting the full force of it. And then we get it yet again, at the end. It's still wonderful, but, you know. This Twilight Time release includes some worthy extras which I will enjoy soon.
