And on Tuesday, I should expect the new revival cast recording of Gypsy.  Good or bad, I was always going to buy it.

From last night:

Jane, my niece's new cat is a young male cat, not really a kitten, but definitely not yet an adult. And even though my sister and her daughter live together and all the cats are technically my niece's, some of the cats favor my sister and some favor my niece.

Cats are like that-lol.  Obviously your sister loves the cats.

We've only ever had cats, except for three noticeable exceptions. ::)

In the morning, Shelly and I are going to my sister's to help declutter her garage (a bit ::) ) for her birthday, which is tomorrow, but we also need to go to Home Depot so that I can buy a couple of toilets...mine were originally installed 19 years ago and both need to be replaced!  I wasn't going to get them quite yet, but I heard on MSNBC (SiriusXM simulcast) last night that there's now (or very soonly going to be) tariffs on toilets and kitchen-type cabinets!  WTH??  I don't know if they've started already or not, but I want to, hopefully, not have to deal with/pay that. :P

Best to do it now, not only before there might be tariffs but before people rush to buy them ahead of the tariffs.

There is that. ::)

George, will you also install the new toilets?

No!  My friend Margo has been working with a handyman and he's going to install them.  I'll help when needed.

DR Elmore in particular wanted to see these:

I just picked up Mikey's paw print from Cat Clinic. Here it is, side by side with Poe's from 2020. The similarities and differences are interesting. Poe's was done right here by the vet who made the house call, and she had us keep it untouched for several days as opposed to baking it. Cat Clinic bakes it and we return to pick it up. And no ribbon hole in theirs. We had Poe's hanging on the wall, but I'm proposing we keep the two of them together in a nice felt lined display box. Much safer, and they'll look good against the felt. (This camera shot doesn't pick up all of the impression. They both look better in person.)

As always, click...

A Victorian courting chair.

So, is the third seat for the chaperone, or is this for people in a thrupple? ;)

Thank you all for the vibes. Sadly, they did nothing to make it easy today. In fact, today is a first in which not one, but two nightmares showed up.

I usually have to schedule Access-a-Ride for an hour or 75 minutes before the appointment time since they ask for a possible 30-minute delay. So, here was my schedule:
9:35 pickup to 331 West 57th Street for 10:20 appointment
11:15 pickup to 2281 Broadway for 12:15 vaccines
1:15 pickup to home

Only, I got a text from Access-a-Ride at 11:00, telling me there would be a ride in 15 minutes; fine, only it never showed. At 11:30 I called AAR and was told the car arrived at 11:20, only I was never notified by text or call that the goddamned car was there, so I missed it. After four frustrating phone calls to AAR, I was told at 12:00 that my new car was one minute away; there was still time to make the 12:15 appointment. I walked outside to wait for it.
No show.

So, I stood outside for 10 minutes or so and called AAR again: wjere the fuck is my car? I was yelling at this point and the lady was wonderful; she rescheduled, and I told her I needed the ride to take me home since I had missed my 12:15 appointment. About 12:20 a car finally showed up, only the driver was directed to take me to 2182 Broadway. I told him to take me to 202 West 826. At West 77th Street he was ordered by AAR to pull over to straighten out the 2182 vs 202 mess.
Then I got home to find the elevator was out!

Luckily, the crew was working on the elevator and I am now home. I have to reschedule those vaccines. Just an all-round lousy day.

Lordy, Lordy.

I don't think you've had to post a report like that on A-a-R for a while. Seems like you've had such good luck with them lately.
That's like the bad old days.

Darling Daughter won't be here until 12:30. Wish someone had alerted me so I could have stayed in bed. I also have to get to the mail place and do stuff before shaving and getting ready.
