Last night, somewhere between 9:30 and midnight, I had the most terrifying dream. What made it really terrifying is that I still don't know if it was a dream. I went to bed around 8:00 and set the alarm for 5:00. It's too warm in the apartment and I'm sleeping poorly, but I did sleep for about an hour. When I woke, I could not get back to sleep. so I decided to ret a new sleeping position lying on my back. I checked the alarm: 9:15PM. I turned off the light ad lay on my ack in the dark, drifting in and out of sleep. Then, something black, not a human, lying beside me rose up and covered me, smothering me, then it pulled away. After a bit, the same thing happened again. Then, after a bit of time, something grabbed my leg and began to pull me off the bed while I struggled. And I woke ande turned on the light, The cock said it was just ca little after midnight. I was so rattled by the whole thing that I immediately called for Thatch and Stella. Stella hopped into bed with me, and I remember, ber no more dreams of last night, only that I slept veru poorly.

Oh, my goodness! :o

I definitely don't have Trump Derangement Syndrome. What I have is Trump Fatigue.

Ditto. ::)

You folks are better than me at being able to watch the news. I can take very little of it these days.

I learn all the news I get through this group or Mrs R. I’m not proud of this, but the news makes me very anxious, so this is best for my health.

You do whatcha gotta do, Rodzinski.

To Mrs. R’s chagrin, I always order it as “Cointreau and sod-y” as a tribute to this sublime Martin Short scene in The Big Picture.

Have we previously discussed the series on PBS called HAPPINESS - about a Broadway director who loses his visa and finds himself back at the community theater from when he grew up in New Zealand?

We happened on it last night, and it was six episodes, about 20 minutes each, so easy to just watch straight through in 2+ hours.  The people you root for and the people you dislike keep shifting during the series, but extremely entertaining.

The musical the theater group is performing within the series is a TROJAN HORSE musical.

That sounds like fun.

We've had a Zoom meeting on the ballet scheduled  today for noon since November 11 for today with Doug, Phil, me, and half of the deans at the North Carolina School of the Arts. At 11:15, I began the frenzy to be ready for the meeting only to get three emails canceling today's meeting because the dean of the Music Dept didn't realize it was today and he has issues to deal with. Oy!

Darn.  I hate it when that happens. :P

DR Jrand, did I read correctly that your local movie theater is closing for ever?

It was hard for me to see the details in the video so I had to watch it over and over again.  I really wanted to see what actually happened, and it was bad.

Well, it turns out that the officer's name has been found out:

BREAKING: KRISTI NOEM ACCIDENTALLY NAMES ICE OFFICER

DR JANE sorry to mislead.....my local plex - 7 screens - changed it's name from Showtime Cinema to Torchlight Cinema.

But it was the LAST showing of Song Sung Blue in the plex at 11 a.m. so it was now or never - as Elvis used to say.

We started out in theeder number 7 - but 30 seconds into the movie the screen went blank.  Finally the lights came on and a young lady walked down the aisle and said that the projector was not working.

So all 12 of us got moved down to Theeder One!  The B I G one.....great sound....but a few too many unexpected steps for me.

Oh, whew!  But that's great that you got to see it on the B I G one!

Thursday afternoon greetings!  We just returned from our community’s resident association dessert meeting.  They served pumpkin crème brûlée and gave us only forks.

What?? :o

I had read about him and the other car incident.  I didn't realize she was the source that mentioned it, leading to revealing his identity.

The big question is, why would he get in front of a car again after that happened!
