Sunday evening greetings!  It snowed here for about 24 hours and we have about a foot on the ground.  We’re hunkered down until the grounds crew arrives.  Could be a couple of days.

Ginny, you have a Millstone Alert :) - 17 posts from 36,000!

Thanks for the heads-up, DR Freddie!  I’ll try to make it a good one.

DR Jane, our next accumulating snow is predicted for Wednesday night/Thursday morning.  Might keep me from going to lunch with my Dayton friends.

At least it gives you time to clear the roads before adding another layer of snow.  I hope you are able to see your Dayton friends.

Apparently there's about 7 inches of snow in my area.   It was followed by sleet for several hours.

Craig guessed about 4 inches for him, but then he hadn't been out yet.  He did mention the light freezing rain all day.  Though it wasn't official at the time (it is now) he said he wouldn't be working tomorrow.

Two options to watch this short IA clip-watch to the end

From the Discovering Denmark Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1957867785134785

From Threads, whatever that is: https://www.threads.com/@discovering_denmark/post/DT5niOKjjd9/video-i-dont-want-greenland-anymore-greenland-discoveringdenmark-humor-ia

I am unable to read today's notes at this time.

I just checked and can't read them now.  I'm not surprised with the issues I've been having posting.

I am very relieved that the Monks walking for Peace are wearing boots in this weather.

I will spend most of the day assisting Joshie on a non-Encores! project. So . . . Excelsior!

Hope it all went well!

Back from an excellent matinee, pretty full house, fun Q&A, and then dinner at the Coral Cafe.

I'd written two pages before leaving, maybe three now that I think about it, so another seven would suit me just fine.

Tricky end of chapter and I surprised even myself with the direction I went in. Unexpected but fun and still could go any number of ways.

Back from the lieder recital, which was excellent - Schumann Op. 39 and a great selection of Brahms. I hadn't been to Old First Church for a concert in almost 30 years, back when the opera used to have their Schwabacher debut recital series there. It was as excellent a space for a vocal recital as I had remembered.

Part of the fun of scanning in the old concert programs and entering them into my online calendar is that I can wonder, "how long ago was I at Old First for a concert?" and get the answer right away.

I decided to watch the rerelease of Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday after watching all of the extras. He added a Jaws joke that was pretty silly, which is most welcome tonight.

Seeing him destroy a room while wearing spurs and bearing a riding crop is hilarious.

Finally! The cramps subsided and I wrote several new pages, finished a chapter and began a new one. Eleven pages in all.
