KRITZERLAND AT THE TRIAD 2 AND ON MY WAY HOME

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, we are done with our New York shows.  The first of the two shows was, for me, one of the weirdest ever.  Most of the audience was very old, didn’t get the references or jokes (save for our haineshisway.com savvy crowd) – I knew it within ten seconds, knew what we were in for.  It was a good show, but a couple of performers were thrown by the weird energy.  Many in the audience had no clew at all what we were about – but it was a nice-sized crowd and I did improvise one joke that really got a huge laugh, so that was good.  The second show was the polar opposite – savvy crowd who got all the references, all the jokes and who sent amazing positive energy to us all.  The cast was great, and our guest Liz Larsen brought down the house, especially at the second show.  Our kids were just stellar.  In the first show, Sami couldn’t sustain her high note at the end of Annie but she handled it like a pro.  I lowered it for the second show (she’s still recuperating from a bad cold and has a mean cough, which has taken its toll on her voice, although she was in superb voice for everything else, and in both shows yesterday.  I do like the space a lot and we were treated very well by everyone.  I’ll go into more detail but we all went out after to eat and it’s now one-thirty in the morning and I have to be up in two hours to be on my way to the airport and then on my way home to LA.

The rest of the day was spent taking a two-mile walk and relaxing.  Dinner after the show was very good, a place called The Smith.  There were about fifteen of us.  Again, I’ll have much more detail in tomorrow’s notes.

Today, I shall be up early and then shall be on my way to the airport, after which I shall be on my way home to LA.  So, please send your strongest most excellent vibes and xylophones for a safe, secure and on-time flight.  When I get home I will have a lot of stuff to do, and then I will relax for the rest of the day and evening.

The rest of the week is meetings and meals and work sessions.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be on my way home to LA, I must catch up on stuff, I must hopefully pick up some packages, and I must relax, eat and relax.  Today’s topic of discussion: I have no time to think of one, so you’re on your own.  Don’t forget to send your strongest most excellent vibes and xylophones for a safe, secure and on-time flight.
