A PLETHORA OF ANNOUNCEMENTS

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, we finally announced this week’s new Kritzerland stuff. Most of you dear readers have already ordered this via Indiegogo, but for our dear lurkers here is the information. First off, the three Tonight’s the Night items. First, the Blu-ray, which not only features our original musical, Tonight’s the Night, starring Eric Petersen and Hartley Powers, it also has the complete Outside the Box web series I did, which stars such folks as Beth Leavel, Hal Linden, Euan Morton, Jason Graae, Brad Oscar, Barry Pearl, Gregory Harrison, Adrian Zmed, Matthew Ashford and more. It also includes our online thriller, Revenge. But that’s not all – there are commentary tracks for Tonight’s the Night and all twelve episodes of Outside the Box. But that’s not all. It also includes the Kimmel Movie Marathon Trailer in Cinemascope, starring Candy Clark, and the original uncut Dirty Harry Strikes Back faux movie trailer from The Creature Wasn’t Nice. The version used on the DVD is missing its entire middle section and a few other shots – and that middle section features actor Kenneth Tobey, star of the original The Thing. So, jam-packed this Blu-ray is.

Then we have the soundtrack CD, which features the score of Tonight’s the Night as well as music from some incidental plays for which I’ve written scores, including the two themes from Revenge. It’s really fun. There’s a combo platter deal for Blu-ray and CD that enables you to save ten dollars.

Then we have the Tonight’s the Night sheet music song folio – all ten songs from the show in piano/vocal arrangements. There’s a combo platter for this, the CD, and the Blu-ray that enables you to save fifteen dollars. And finally, there’s my new book, Some Days Are Murder – signed copies of that are now available to order and unlike the Tonight’s the Night pre-orders, the books are in stock and ready to ship.

So, I do hope some of you dear lurkers will check these out at the Kritzerland website and maybe even order something. That’s www.kritzerland.com.

Otherwise, I am sitting here like so much fish, listening to an opera entitled Le Roi D’ys by one Edouard Lalo, conducted by Andre Cluytens, and starring Janine Micheau, Rita Gorr, and others. The recording is from 1957, so I thought it would be stereo, but it’s mono – very good mono. So far, I’m enjoying it. I also listened to Mr. Previn do Swan Lake – it’s loooooong, but a really excellent recording. Also listened to Previn do Tchaikovsky’s first piano concerto – I have tons of classic recordings of this, but I liked this one very much.

Yesterday was a fine little ME day. I got nine hours of ME sleep, which was good, got up, answered e-mails, then listened to music and relaxed. I also announced the new stuff on the Facebook, Twitter, and sent out our eBlast. Orders were on the slow side, but I’m hoping there’ll be more because we really need to sell some of these. I can promise anyone on the fence that this stuff is VERY entertaining. Then I shaved and showered and moseyed on over to the mail place to pick up two small packages. After that, I moseyed on over to The Smokehouse to sup with Peyton Kirkner and her mom, Allison. It was really fun; Peyton has really grown up in the past year and it was great to see both of them. We gabbed like crazy, laughed a lot, and ate. All three of us had the filet mignon. They had fries with theirs and I had a double dose of asparagus. I also had Bearnaise sauce and a small Caesar. They had the garlic cheese bread. Peyton’s doing small doses of gluten these days and is fine with it, and she really seemed to love the bread. It was a very pleasant two hours, and we had a very perky waitress. It was also VERY hard not just to grab a piece of the bread, but I was strong. I did eat the onion ring that came with the filet, but one onion ring is about four grams of carbs, so I’m not worried about it, frankly.

After that, I came right home and began my music listening. I did a few things on the computer, didn’t feel like watching anything, and the rest you know because you know the rest, not necessarily in that order.

Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, I’m hoping I have the final video we’ve been waiting on – I’m told it’s done but the singer was having a bit of trouble finalizing it. I’m actually hopeful it will be here before I go to bed. I’ll do whatever needs doing, but most of the day will be devoted to getting the Indiegogo perks in order, with post-its, so I can take all that to the storage place for the helper to begin shipping. I’ll do the rest of the ten-CD perks that can be done. And I’m praying for another little miracle so I can free up the last two releases so we can get those shipped out. I’ll hopefully pick up some packages, I’ll eat (not sure what yet), and then at some point I’ll watch, listen, and relax.

The rest of the week is all Kritzerland show stuff, shipping stuff, and hoping for a little miracle. And hopefully getting the materials that will enable us to announce two show titles soon.

Let’s all put on our pointy party hats and our colored tights and pantaloons, let’s all break out the cheese slices and ham chunks, let’s all dance the Hora or the box-step, for today is the birthday of our beloved dear reader Jeanne. So, let’s give a big haineshisway.com birthday cheer to our beloved dear reader Jeanne. On the count of three: One, two, three – A BIG HAINESHISWAY.COM BIRTHDAY CHEER TO OUR BELOVED DEAR READER JEANNE!!!

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m up, hope that we have the final video, do whatever needs doing, get the Indiegogo perks in order, hope for a little miracle, hopefully pick up some packages, eat, and then watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: What are your favorite steaks – the kind, the preparation, and what sauces do you like? Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy to have finally done a plethora of announcements.
