81% AND THE HOME STRETCH

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, we had us quite a lot of action yesterday, Indiegogo-wise, going up 8% to 81%! Several larger items went and a lot of smaller items. It was consistent pretty much all day long and into the evening. We still have to keep climbing at a rapid rate now, to get to our goal, cover our fees, and maybe go a little further, which will enable us to do more stuff. I did put up a few new perky perks yesterday and several of them went so fast, I couldn’t believe it. There are still many, many great perks, and I have saved a few for the end of the campaign, but let’s keep spreadin’ the news, gettin’ the word out, alerting the media so we can keep going up steadily each day. We’re nine days away from finishing according to Indiegogo, although I think it’s really closer to eight. So, onward and upward we must go, hopefully to infinity and beyond. Here’s the ever-present handy-dandy linkilicious link.

I did watch a motion picture last night, a French movie from France, starring that fine actor, Jean Reno. It’s another revenge movie, it’s way too violent to be enjoyable, it’s not well directed, the pace is too loose, but everyone gets what they deserve in the end, and it was okay. And now, I’m listening to Mr. Frank Sinatra sings his hits – what a voice this person had. Right now, it’s Young at Heart. I, myself, am young at heart and old as feet.

Yesterday was a most lovely day, thanks to all the Indiegogo action. I got up at eleven after six hours of sleep, and saw that we were having a lot of action and that made me very happy, whereas just six hours prior I was having a bit of a meltdown, as I do occasionally, when the start of a new month begins and all these horrifying auto payments start doing their thing and then on top of that, when a huge printing bill comes due – just one thing after another and it gets to be too too much, which is why we really need to go above our goal because we so desperately need a financial cushion – it won’t be huge but it will so help us. Once up, I answered e-mails, then shaved and moseyed on over to Vitello’s for a lovelier than lovely lunch with Kay Cole. Hadn’t seen her in months, so it was fun to catch up.

Then I came right home to cheerlead, which I did throughout the day – basically, that’s all I did, aside from have a telephonic conversation. Then I watched the movie, had a chicken breast and chicken pasta salad for my evening repast – lunch had been a small chicken Caesar salad – so, it was really a chicken kind of day. After that, I began writing the second episode of the web series, having revised the setting and idea for what I hope will be a very physical comedy sequence.

Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, I’ll cheerlead for most of the day, I’ll write, I’ll eat something fun, I’ll cheerlead, maybe put up a couple of new perks, and then at some point I’ll watch, listen, and relax.

Tomorrow will be more of the same, Saturday is a nice dinner out, Sunday will be much cheerleading, and then next week we hopefully take this puppy home.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m up, cheerlead for most of the day, write, eat, cheerlead, maybe put up a couple of new perky perks, and then watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: What are your all-time favorite Frank Sinatra tracks? Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, so happy we got to 81% and hoping we can get up to 90% in the next couple of days, so that we can hopefully take this puppy home as we enter the home stretch.
