Well, dear readers, I am sitting here like so much fish, listening to one of those Stanley Black film music albums – he was one of the best who did these in the later 1960s and through the 1970s – he had a great band, great sound, and did very true suites and arrangements. I had all of ‘em back in the day and thankfully several have had very nice CD releases. He not only does films, he does musicals, too. Anyway, it’s very nice music to write notes to. Otherwise, I watched another Netflix documentary, or at least one that they purchased, entitled Skandal, about Wirecard and their takedown. I’d never even heard of Wirecard before, but the thing plays like a thriller and is interesting. Of course, the director asks the real-life participants to pretend they’re in a movie, which I’ll never understand. It’s a documentary, not a movie, Mr. Director, and you should trust that the story is interesting enough to hold its own without your silliness.
I was hoping that yesterday I would feel even better, but that wasn’t to be. I did get nine hours of sleep, but just didn’t feel very well. I’ve fought valiantly and still believe I’ll win not getting whatever that stinking woman had next to me on the plane, but I just wish it would go away already. I’m tired of popping Pepcid, Sambucol, and Airborne over and over again – on Sunday I didn’t have to but I did yesterday. So, I pretty much just stayed in the house, relaxing. In the morning, I had a disgusting text that I responded to strongly, but it’s just part of what’s stressing me out at the moment. Then I got the schedule for the first two days of next week’s shoot locked down and sent it to the two actors who really needed it, Cindy and Kerry O’Malley. We got the recording studio location locked down, too, so that just leaves a green screen studio and a club. That all happens on the third day of shooting. Then all that will be left are the Kerry and Cindy Face Time calls, which we’ll shoot early the following week. For food, I had Hugo’s pasta papa and a Caesar salad, both good. Haven’t had pasta papa in quite some time but I got a 70% off coupon from Postmates and used it. But even with the 70% off, when you add the fees and tip, it’s just not really worth it. It’s kind of a scam if you really think about it.
I did some work on the computer, a Zoom thing with David Wechter got pushed until today at four, and then I watched the documentary. After that, I plopped down on the bed and slept for two hours. Once back up, I just answered e-mails and surfed YouTube until it was time to write these here notes.
Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, I’ll do whatever needs doing, I’ll hopefully not have to deal with any merde, then I’ll spend some time prepping next week’s shoot, I’ll eat something, I’ll Zoom with David Wechter for an hour, and then I have a meeting/meal around seven. After that, I’ll come home and watch, listen, and relax.
The rest of the week is more of the same. We may shoot the recording studio stuff on Sunday to get it out of the way and if that’s the case, then I’ll be doing nothing on Saturday but getting ready for another four straight days of filming. It’ll be fun having Cindy and Kerry on the set, for sure.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m up, do whatever needs doing, hopefully not have to deal with merde, prep, Zoom, and have a meeting/meal, after which I can watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: Have you used the food delivery services and, if so, what has your experiences been like? Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, hoping today is a feel better day.
