Well, dear readers, I must write these here notes in a hurry, for she of the Evil Eye will be here all too soon and as you know I, BK, need as much sleep as possible before arising at the early hour of eight-thirty. Therefore, these will be speedy notes, notes with speed, the fast and furious notes, notes with alacrity and rapidity, not necessarily in that order. I shall write like the wind, although I haven’t been especially fond of the wind’s writing of late. First of all, I finished watching the 10-episode series called Dahmer on the Flix of Net. Between it and Blonde, I feel like I need to take about thirty showers. Dahmer certainly has some fine acting, but as with most ten-episode series it just goes on too long – ten hours is a little too much time to spend with Mr. Dahmer. The show is not shy about Mr. Dahmer’s handiwork, either. I’m not much of a Ryan Murphy fan and there’s a certain exploitive quality to this and a certain salaciousness and apparently the families of the victim are none too happy with it. I think I need some lighter fare to wash the unpleasantness away. The two big surprises for me were Molly Ringwald and Penelope Ann Miller – how nice to see them again and both are very good, especially Ms. Miller, who never quite had the career she should have.
Yesterday was a day in which I didn’t feel quite so out of sorts, thanks to getting eight-and-a-half hours of good solid sleep. Once up, I answered e-mails and continued to catch up on things and dealing with stuff I hate dealing with. I went to Gelson’s and got Diet Cokes, tuna, an onion, and two onion rolls, then I came home and made two tuna sandwiches, which were of high quality. I had several telephonic conversations, and then I watched the final five episodes of Dahmer.
Then I shaved and showered so that I can be in bed as soon as I post these here notes.
Today, I’ll be up by eight-thirty and out the door before nine. I have to stop at the bank briefly, then I’m meeting Marshall Harvey in the Bank of Bur to give him the script with all the notes in it regarding what was shot when, what the angles were, what they were slated, so that his assistant can start getting all this transferred into Marshall’s Avid system.
After that, I’ll come home and work on the schedule for episodes nine and ten, but mostly I need to relax and keep trying not to get sick. Frankly, I’m sick of feeling like I’m going to get sick, so enough is enough, as Babs and Donna once said. Then at some point, I’ll watch, listen, and relax.
Tomorrow will be a complete ME day and then next week is all scheduling and prepping the shoot on the seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth. It’s a bit complicated so things have to be worked out very carefully. There’ll also be meetings and meals and continuing to deal with the unpleasant stuff, which is, frankly, unpleasant.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up by eight-thirty, have a breakfast meeting with Marshall Harvey, work on the schedule, perhaps eat a light snack, and then watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: What do you think about all these dreary, dank, depressing things that are limited series or movies on the various streaming platforms. Which do you like, which do you not like? Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, as I finish up these fast and furious notes.
