Well, dear readers, I have survived a bout of food poisoning, barely. I didn’t sleep at all until I finally went back in the bed at nine in the morning. But that only lasted a couple of hours. While I was never really nauseous, my tummy felt like someone was inside there grabbing things. I went back to be at around eleven, finally fell asleep and slept until four-thirty, when I was awakened by the ringing of the telephonic device. It was Muse Margaret and we talked for about twenty minutes. She loved the new 100 pages, no notes, was very specific about what were her favorite parts. That was just the tonic I needed. I felt a little better – not perfect but a little bit. It was about seventy-nine in the home environment, and we needed to know if we had to call Mr. Air so I turned on the air. At first, it was a little tepid, but not like the day before. But it soon got cold and from then on the temperature dropped to 73 within thirty minutes and I turned it off and it’s remained at that temperature ever since, so that’s a good thing and a good thing that’s.
So, as you might imagine, I got around to futzing and finessing very late, but got that done, thank goodness, all fourteen pages of it. Then I wrote a page. I decided to take a chance on a sandwich and ordered from nearby Mendicino Farms, which is a very health conscious jernt. I got a turkey sandwich, no cheese, a bit of avocado, lettuce, and no mayo or mustard on whole wheat. I wrote another couple of pages whilst I waited for its arrival. It arrived just ten minutes later, and I ate it slowly. I’m not sure I was quite ready to eat and while my tummy is a bit better, the sandwich made me a touch queasy. Then I wrote seven more pages for a total of ten. Depending on how I feel, I may go for two or three more before going to bed. Who knows if I’ll be able to sleep or not?
That was pretty much it. I watched a couple of YouTube things, had a long telephonic conversation, and here I am writing these here notes.
Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, I’ll futz and finesse, hopefully I’ll feel better, I’ll write new pages, I’ll decide about food depending on the tummy, I’ll see what’s up with the mail place, I’ll write more pages and try to get through this next section, and then I’m probably into a twenty-page stretch. After that, it might be another fifty to seventy pages to the end, but I have no way of knowing it, but the one thing I can unequivocally say is, novella my ASS, since we’ve just crossed 64,000 words and page 322 of the manuscript. At some point, I’ll watch, listen, and relax.
The rest of the week is all writing and shipping CDs and the following week I can’t imagine not finishing this thing I’ve been writing.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m hope, hopefully feel better, futz and finesse, write new pages, think about food, check with the mail place, write more pages, and then watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Ask BK Day, the day in which you get to ask me or any dear reader any old question you like and we get to give any old answer we like. So, let’s have loads of lovely questions and loads of lovely answers and loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, hoping I’m completely done with this damn food poisoning by the time I arise.
