Well, dear readers, as I sit here like so much full fish, I’m thinking that maybe, just maybe, I ate a little too much food yesterday. Let’s parse it. First food was a bacon, cheese, and scallion omelet and hash browns, no bread. So, not a huge number of calories. Later, I got a hankerin’ and don’t ask me why, for sweet and sour cabbage soup. So, I got some from Art’s Deli and it was pretty okay but I don’t need to have it again anytime soon. Anyway, very low in calories. So far, so good. It came with two pieces of rye bread, and I ate those with butter. Not terrible, calorie-rise, but still calories. Then I was fine until about ten. I’d been writing up a storm and was hungry again, so what did I do? I made about six ounces of farfalle pasta with onions, butter, and cheese. That was great, but we cannot pretend it didn’t have calories, oh, no, we cannot pretend it didn’t have calories. So, methinks it would have been okay had I not had the soup and rye bread, but it is what it is and what it is is what it is. I watched nothing but irritating YouTube videos and I really MUST stop doing that. I just haven’t felt like committing to a motion picture. Nor have I even felt like listening to music, which is VERY unusually unusual.
Yesterday, I was up at eight after six hours of sleep, and out the door by nine. I joined Robert Yacko at our breakfast jernt and the food there is simple and excellent. We sat outside, because it gets really noisy inside. After that, I did a few things, went to the mail place and picked up a small residual check for The Faculty, went to Gelson’s to look around, and then came home.
I futzed and finessed fifteen pages and that took a bit of time. Then I wrote about five new pages, took a break, watched irritating YouTube videos, wrote another four pages, had the sweet and sour cabbage soup, wrote another four pages, took another break, did a bit of research, then wrote two more page, for a total of fifteen pages. Hopefully, I’ll like them when I read them.
Today, I’ll be up by eleven at the latest, I’ll futz and finesse, I’ll write some new pages, then I’m going to see a bit of the second act of a matinee, basically just to see the lighting design. After that, I’ll probably go have a patty melt and no fries. Then I’ll come home and write more pages, hopefully between ten and fifteen.
Tomorrow, I’ll futz and finesse all those pages, then send Muse Margaret a new batch of pages. Then I have a lunch meeting at noon o’clock, after which I’ll come home and write new pages. At that point, I should be forty or so pages from finishing, but it’s hard to know. All I can say is, novella my ASS.
If you want to read my little thoughts on the passing of Tom Jones, just read my Facebook page.
The rest of the week will be all writing and perhaps even finishing a book. We shall see. There’ll also be meetings and meals.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up by eleven at the latest, futz and finesse and write new pages, see part of a matinee, have a patty melt and no fries, write more pages, and then maybe watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s free-for-all day, the day in which you dear readers get to make with the topics and we all get to post about them. So, let’s have loads of lovely topics and loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, having perhaps eaten a little too much food.
