Well, dear readers, I am sitting here like so much fish, listening to a beautiful Philippe Sarde score for a Robin Davis French film from France. Great theme, so great, in fact, that Sarde just stole it from himself and used it to great effect in The Manhattan Project movie. Apparently, he did this a lot. Wonderful music, though, whichever film soundtrack you happen to be listening to. I just had some white rice with sautéed red onion and butter – very good. I did watch a motion picture – wait, no I didn’t watch a motion picture, I watched some videos, one of which was the original Broadway production of Man of La Mancha, although I’m pretty sure that’s not Richard Kiley or Irving Jacobson – might be David Atkinson and Tony Martinez. But fun to see the original staging again. I watched a few other videos from various shows and listened to the Philippe Rombi score to the new Francois Ozon movie Mon Crime, which is getting really good reviews (I think in English it’s called The Crime is Mine). It’s not streaming anywhere at the moment, just in select theaters. I’ll wait. Other than that, I got eight hours of sleep, got up, answered e-mails, began futzing and finessing (I’m adding several pages each time I futz and finesse), then I took a break and finally went to the mail place and picked up the small package and a nice surprise – a green WGA envelope with a residual for The Faculty. Not a lot – it’s funny actually – the amount is my age twice, $76.76. Then I went to Gelson’s and got two count them two small hamburger patties, hamburger buns, shredded lettuce, a tomato, bought that, came home and made two cheeseburgers – very good. Then I finished futzing and finessing and adding and wrote a few new pages. I took a little break, then continued writing. I did a total of twelve pages, which is fine – I may do two more before bed. Today I will pass the first 100 pages and that’s what Muse Margaret will get tomorrow. I’m hoping she likes the way it’s coming out. What else? Oh yeah, I had a little bundt cakelet for a sweet and that was very good. Then I had the rice. I did fall asleep on the couch for about twenty minutes.
Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, I’ll futz and finesse, I’ll write new pages, I’ll figure out what I want for food, I’ll eat, I’ll write more new pages, and then at some point I’ll watch, listen, and relax.
Tomorrow, I’ll send Muse Margaret the pages after I futz and finesse. Then I’ll probably write a few new pages, then I’ll relax until it’s time for our Q&A at 5:00 PST/8:00 PST. Remember to write questions down, and it can be about the latest books, any other books, shows I’ve written, 70, Girls, 70 – those who’ve attended these know that I hold nothing back and I do mean nothing. After I finish, then I’ll figure out food and I may just go out to a nearby jernt. The rest of the week is writing, a couple of meetings and meals and praying for some modern major miracles.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m up, futz and finesse, write new pages, eat, write more new pages, and then watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s free-for-all day, the day in which you dear readers get to make with the topics and we all get to post about them. So, let’s have loads of lovely topics and loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy that I’ll be passing the first one hundred pages today.
