THE RIVETING NOTES

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, it’s quite late because I was finishing up some writing on the new book, and now I must finish up some writing of these here notes so I can hie myself to bed as I did not sleep very much. There’s not much to report anyway. Oh, I could report that I never had a chance to watch a motion picture or even part of a motion picture. I could report that I listened to no music. I could report that I had no telephonic calls. This is riveting, I tell you. I’m on the edge of my seat or my seat is on the edge of me. So, let’s just jump back to the start of the day. I was up just before eight, after about three hours of sleep due to having eaten way too much food and the fact that I ate onions, and the sauce had a lot of garlic in it. I answered e-mails, then she of the Evil Eye arrived. I left the house at 8:50 and drove over to the bank to cash a check. It was empty, so I was in and out of there in three minutes. Then I drove over to my nearby BofA branch to make a deposit. It wasn’t that long a line, but one gal was doing endless stuff and while doing it was on the phone. She was there for twenty damn minutes. Thankfully, there were two other tellers, so I got to one of them in about twenty minutes and then it went very quickly. Once done with all that, I put gas in the motor car, then I went to Gelson’s and got two onion rolls and some fresh cut ham for sandwiches, and then hot dogs, buns, and red cabbage for today’s food. I came home, futzed and finessed the previous day’s writing, then made the two ham sandwiches, which were pretty good. Then I began writing new pages and did about five or six pretty quickly. I’m still futzing with the form and one thing I thought I was going to do I don’t think I am because I’m thinking it would be clunky. So, I’ll just incorporate those things into the text body instead. I took a break, then wrote a few more pages.

I then looked for something to watch but fell asleep for an hour or so. Then I wrote more pages, a total of fourteen, so that was pretty good. Then I was hungry, so I made two egg sandwiches and those were pretty good. And then it was somehow late and here we are, writing the damn notes in a hurry.

Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, I’ll do whatever needs doing, I’ll futz and finesse, I’ll write new pages, I’ll deal with some annoyances as best I can, I’ll have hot dogs for food, I’ll go pick up a small package at the mail place, I’ll write more pages, and then at some point I’ll watch, listen, and relax.

Tomorrow is more of the same and so is Friday and the weekend. I’m hoping by the end of the weekend I’ll be able to send Muse Margaret about sixty or seventy pages, to see if she even likes this thing I’m doing. I’m hoping she will.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m up, do whatever needs doing, futz and finesse, write new pages, deal with some annoyances, have hot dogs for food, pick up a package, write more pages, and then watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Ask BK Day, the day in which you get to ask me or any dear reader any old question you like and we get to give any old answer we like. So, let’s have loads of lovely questions and loads of lovely answers and loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy to finally post these oh so riveting notes.
