AM I THE DIP OR IS THE ONION DIP THE DIP?

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, what would that look like if my right hand accidentally move over a key, which it did – like this: We;;. dear readers. Isn’t that cute? Doesn’t that just make you want to pinch someone’s cheeks? I have now moved my right hand over one key, and all is right with the world as we know it. I don’t know why, but I just had some crackers and some onion dip. I hadn’t eaten since three. That is because I slept until two in the afternoon – ten hours of needed sleep. Once up, I answered e-mails. Then I approved one of the CD packages – the other needs some work. I then got the first attempt at the photo layout for the book and it’s very nice indeed. I spent two hours writing the captions, which have to be kept succinct for space reasons. I also sent it to the designers to make sure the margins were correct and heard back that they were. I had Pad Thai for food, then finally sat on my couch like so much fish and watched a motion picture from the year 2023 entitled Priscilla, from the book Priscilla wrote about her and hubby Elvis. I am not much of a fan of Miss Sofia Coppola as a director and this movie certainly didn’t change my mind. It seems much longer than its almost two hours because basically it’s the same scenes over and over again. The fellow playing Elvis is okay but looks nothing like him at all. The actress playing Priscilla is the best thing in the movie. Supporting performances are nothing because there are no real characters to play, and they have nothing to do. It just meanders along until she leaves him. Elvis’ real-life daughter hated the movie and was quite vocal about it. I didn’t hate it – it’s just there and not compelling at all. For reasons that I’ll never understand, the critics love to give Sofia Coppola a pass even when they don’t care for the film – so this has a pretty high Rotten Tomatoes rating. It gets a pretty low BK rating, I’m sorry to say. I added a couple of small things to the book and sent those off for proofing. I may add one more if I can find it, that is. Then I ate the onion dip and now I feel completely gross and like I want to vomit on the ground. I wonder what’s the biggest dip – the dip or I? I or the dip? Me or the dip? I know not. I care not. I posted another track from one of my albums – people seem to really be enjoying that and I’m certainly enjoying revisiting some of this stuff.

Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, I’ll do whatever needs doing, I really MUST get to the mail place and therefore I WILL get to the mail place, I’ll write, I’ll eat something light but fun, I’ll hopefully see the photo spread with all captions included, and as soon as that’s perfect then the whole thing can go to the designers. I want that to happen so I can stop adding things to the book.

The rest of the week is more of the same, writing especially, and then getting the CD packages to the printers for printing, getting the book to the designers, meetings and meals, and then we’ll somehow be in a new month.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m up, do whatever needs doing, get to the mail place, write, eat, hopefully see the finished photo spread, hopefully approve it, and then watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: What are your favorite songs and movies of Elvis Presley? Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, whilst I ponder the age-old question, am I the dip or is the onion dip the dip.
