DOG GROOMING

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, I am sitting here like so much fish having finished the Louis Lane box set and am now listening to the wonderful Estonian composer, Lydia Auster. My kind of music. Very movie music-like. Her Bambi ballet is lovely, her piano concerto is aces – well, I like everything I’ve heard, actually. I am once again cooling down the home environment, which doesn’t seem to stay cool for more than an hour before getting hot again. Very irritating. I watched no motion picture, and you won’t believe what I did watch – it’s so lame, I’m afraid to even mention it, but here it is: There’s a gal who is a dog groomer and posts all her dog grooming videos. I watched about ten of them and they’re not short, either. Some of the dogs she does really hate being groomed and are a bit vicious, some haven’t been groomed in a decade – I can’t tell you why, but I found it interesting. Perhaps it’s just a matter of me having lost my sanity. That’s entirely possible. Otherwise, yesterday wasn’t much of a day. It was pleasant enough so that’s something. I got ten hours of excellent sleep, got up, answered a ton of e-mails, then moseyed on over to the mail place and picked up a little package and the residual, which was for a bit more than I thought it would be, so that was nice. I came back home and ordered my tri-salad from Art’s Deli using a 50% off coupon. As always, I asked for two scoops of turkey salad instead of one and one scoop of tuna. For the first time ever, they got it wrong and gave me the foul-smelling tuna, which I instantly tossed in the trash. The turkey salad and egg salad scoops were fine. I contacted Uber Eats and they’re supposed to get back to me with a resolution. I find them completely disgusting in terms of customer service – they’re actually a joke. DoorDash has always had good customer service. After that, I did some work on the computer, had some telephonic conversations, then continued moving some books around to make some room – taking some non-fiction to the bedroom, where I had two shelves open when I moved all the photos to my dresser. This is riveting. Don’t you think this is riveting? I am riveted. Glued to the screen (no mean feat). The humor, the suspense, the twists – riveting, I tell you. Not really. These here notes are so boring I fell asleep twice while writing this snooze-fest of a paragraph. This gives meandering a whole new meaning and let’s face it, I have no time to meander for she of the Evil Eye will be here all too soon and I shall have to be up and out the door. So, I think we should just move along, don’t you?

Today, I’ll be up by eight and out the door by eight-forty-five to breakfast with Robert Yacko. Haven’t seen him since the Kritzerland show, so it will be fun to catch up. After that, I have some errands and whatnot to do and do them I shall, then I’ll come home, do whatever needs doing, do more organizing, have some telephonic calls, and then at some point I can watch, listen, and relax.

The rest of the week is more of the same, I have to set up the work session for the Kritzerland show, the motor car will need some gas soon (I’ve managed to go five weeks on one tank of gas – pretty good), and getting my head into the Kritzerland show place for the upcoming rehearsals, stumble-through, and show.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up by eight, breakfast with Robert Yacko at nine-fifteen, do errands and whatnot, come home, continue organizing, do whatever needs doing, have some telephonic calls, and then watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: What are the wackiest viewing rabbit holes you’ve gone down? Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, having had more than my fill of dog grooming videos.
