Well, dear readers, we’ll have to forego the what if notes for a day or two because I am in the throes of a writing frenzy and simply must get these here notes written and posted because I am very behind due to constant distractions that are constant and distracting, not necessarily in that order. I am in an important sequence and must give that all my concentration and focus. So, I must write these here notes in a hurry and therefore they may be a bit perfunctory in nature. Have you ever been a bit perfunctory in nature? I, myself, am not really a nature person, I am an urbanite, a city dweller. Frankly, I find nature is for the birds. And the bees and the animals romping about without a stitch of clothing on, eating the shrubs and fruits and nuts of the land, smelling the fragrant aroma of fresh droppings of their own making, and making their animal in nature noises rather than playing cast recordings and writing books about Stephen Sondheim. I, of course, have no idea what the HELL I’m talking about, but that is what happens when one is in the throes of throwing words on a page. So, I watched no motion pictures, I got very little sleep, I futzed and finessed, which took quite a lot of time, I wrote only one new page, I had to shave, I had to have a meeting, I had to eat food, and I had to attend a casting session, after which I came home and wrote another three pages instantly. But I really want to catch up and get more pages done and these here notes should have been up ten minutes ago and would have been if I hadn’t dozed off just before writing them. I just dozed off and suddenly it was thirty minutes later. I CAN tell you that food consisted of a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and fries at the Coral Café, and some way too bland tap tap Tapioca pudding for dessert. I dined with our very own Marshall Harvey, who himself has been known to be perfunctory in nature. I’m afraid that’s all there is to be said about yesterday, other than I saw some talented folks. We still have to find more ensemble folks, both men and women.
Today, I’ll be up by ten or thereabouts, I’ll futz and finesse, and then I’m going to write until I either finish the book or get close to doing so. I’ll have to eat at some point, and I’ll need a break or two, and I may decide not to attend the opening night but go the week after instead. In fact, I just made that decision and cancelled.
Tomorrow, if I haven’t finished the book, I will for sure finish tomorrow, then futz and finesse, then send the last batch of pages to Muse Margaret. Getting the ending exactly right is hugely important. In the late afternoon, I’ll attend a birthday partay, and then if the book is finished, I may do the celebratory dinner or I may wait until Sunday to do so. Then Monday, I have yet another eye doctor thing at ten in the morning, which I HATE, but this if for some testing that the eye surgeon can’t do and he feels the results might mean I could forego the MRI, which I’d really like to not do. We have more auditions that afternoon and then callbacks on Tuesday evening.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up by ten or thereabouts, futz and finesse, write new pages, eat, write more new pages and maybe even finish the book or at least get close to doing so. Today’s topic of discussion: What is currently in your CD player and your DVD/Blu and Ray/streaming player? I’ll start – nothing. Your turn. Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, as I continue being in the throes of the throes.
