Well, dear readers, our Saturday evening audiences have been quiet in terms of laughs, and yet, at the end of the show, they’re cheering. But last night’s crowd were quite fun and there were many laughs, and they loved the show. I think there were about seventy people there. When I got to the theater, I re-blocked the end of the curtain call so we could actually see the band – that worked great. Should have done it a couple of weeks ago, really. I met the piano sub for next Friday’s show – he loved the production and seems nice enough. Our musical director will work with him twice this week, he has a complete audio of the show, and hopefully he’ll be fine. The pace of the show was exemplary. I had a couple of friends there. Prior to the show, I’d gotten four hours of sleep, got up, then went back to bed and got three and a half more hours, so that was good. I had my penne in pink sauce with sausage from Maria’s Kitchen for food. Otherwise, I just relaxed and did very little. Then I showered and moseyed on over to the theater. I came home after the show and ordered a small Subway Eyetalian. Unfortunately, I didn’t see that I had saved an item in the cart and so I not only got what I ordered, sort of, but I also got a footlong – I really did not need to spend an extra twenty bucks but that’s what happened – AND they didn’t give me the six-inch, they gave me two foot-longs. I’ll bring the other one to the theater and give it away. Infuriating. And here we are.
Today, I’ll be up by ten-thirty, I’ll shave and shower and then head over to the theater around noon o’clock. I believe we’re sold out for the matinee, and I think I know several people who’ll be there. Not sure what’s happening after the show, but perhaps a few of us will go have a bite to eat. Then I’ll come home and watch, listen, and relax.
This coming week is very much in need of a modern major miracle or there will be hell toupee. I’ll catch up on a few things, book the next two Kritzerland shows, maybe have a meeting or two, and hopefully be able to relax a bit. Then we resume performances on Friday night and hopefully our sub will get through the show unscathed.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up by ten-thirty, shave and shower, mosey on over to the theater, do our matinee, then perhaps go out for a proper meal, after which I’ll come home and watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s free-for-all day, the day in which you dear readers get to make with the topics and we all get to post about them. So, let’s have loads of lovely topics and loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy that our Saturday night show had a vocal audience.
