Well, dear readers, this month is flying by, like a gazelle having an affair with a three-toed sloth. They’re cute together. In other breaking bombshell news, books have been shipped – anxious to hear when they begin arriving. In other other news, I did manage to watch a motion picture last evening without dozing off. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a good motion picture. What it was was an extra artsy, pretentious movie that takes an hour before any real semblance of a plot kicks in and then we get another forty minutes of extra special artsy, although there are some interesting ideas spread throughout and during the last ten minutes. Not enough to ever recommend this thing unless you LOVE artsy, pretentious films or if you’re enamored of three-toed sloths who are having an affair with a gazelle, and I think we ALL know some who are just that. Blake Lively is the leading lady – blind from a childhood accident but who has an operation and is able to see out of one eye. I don’t know Blake Lively at all, other than I know she’s involved in some lawsuit where she accused someone of something bad – can’t remember the details. She’s fine in it. Just prior to watching it, I did doze off for about forty minutes. I also watched Jackie Mason at an opera house in London – hilarious. And now, I am listening to another George Duning score for the original Star Trek series. Prior to all that, I got about six and a half hours of sleep, got up, answered e=mails, and then moseyed on over to the bank to do banking – between the two banks the entire thing took about six minutes. Once that was done, I went to Gelson’s for some creamy tomato soup – once again, they didn’t have it. I cannot remember the last time they had it. They seem to always have it at the good Gelson’s, but since I was there I got three small cheese enchiladas, some sour cream, and some shrimps. I came home and had half an enchilada and trashed the rest. Terrible. I did have some Spanish rice – not great, though. I had some Cheetos. Later, I had a small thing of ice cream from Coldstone Creamery, then I made onion dip and had some with potato chips – too much, but I’d eaten so little of substance. Of course, now I’m feeling like a big dip and nauseous as can be. After the movie, I had a call from David Wechter, and we had to do about ten minutes of brainstorming. And that was about it.
Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, I’ll do whatever needs doing, I still have some videos to watch before I finalize casting, I’ll eat something light but fun – maybe a nice salad from Stanley’s – most likely a Chinese chicken salad, which is nice and light. I’ll watch the rest of the videos, finalize casting, still looking for a pianist for the show, and then at some point, I’ll watch, listen, and relax.
Not sure about tomorrow and Sunday – kind of desiring a nice dinner out and I have a gift card for BJ’s, so I may do that. Then next week I do have to buckle down, Winsocki and get stuff done.
Let’s all put on our pointy party hats and our colored tights and pantaloons, let’s all break out the cheese slices and ham chunks, let’s all dance the Hora or the Peppermint Twist, for today is the birthday of our very own Freddie. So, let’s give a big haineshisway.com birthday cheer to our very own Freddie. On the count of three – one, two, three: A BIG HAINESHISWAY.COM BIRTHDAY CHEER TO OUR VERY OWN FREDDIE!!!
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m up, do whatever needs doing, watch videos, finalize casting, eat, and then watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Friday – what is currently in your CD player and your DVD/Blu and Ray/streaming player? I’ll start – I have no idea. Your turn. Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, where I shall dream of doing a musical entitled The Three-Toed Sloth and I.
