Well, dear readers, I must once again write these here notes in a hurry for she of the Evil Eye will be here all too soon – in fact, she’s her earlier and earlier each time. I must get as much sleep as I can because after five nights of three to five hours of sleep, I’m on the verge of getting sick and I have no time for such things. And we just found out our leading lady has a cold, so she’s out until Tuesday and we were all in an enclosed room with terrible air conditioning. Thankfully, I did doze off for thirty minutes on the couch like so much fish, and then I just got into bed at seven-thirty and slept two hours, so that was good. I’ve been taking Sambucol regularly for the past two days, so hopefully that will keep any illness at bay – also Airborne – in other words, all my preventatives. Obviously, I had no time to watch anything other than a few irritating YouTube videos.
Yesterday was thankfully a light day. I got up at eleven after five hours of sleep, I answered e-mails, had telephonic calls, saw a sketch of our set, which will need some adjusting, then I moseyed on over to Barone’s for a lunch meeting at one-thirty. That was fun. I had my beloved carbonara, which was, as always, excellent. No bread, but a little dinner salad. My Beloved Carbonara – that’s the title of my next novel. I’m already halfway through writing it. For next year’s book, I was thinking of doing a collection of the Randy Vicar stories, leading off with everyone’s favorite, The Randy Vicar and the Bootstrap. What the HELL am I talking about?
After lunch, I came right home, did a few things, took all my preventatives, had no sweets or any subsequent food, we’re still waiting to hear about a replacement gal, I did some stuff on the computer and then evening fell. After I picked evening up, evening thankfully didn’t need to go to the ER (Evening Resuscitation). I do believe I’m hallucinating at this moment. I also forgot to buy Bounce for she of the Evil Eye, so I did a little Instacart order and that was delivered very quickly. I also got some Canada Dry ginger ale (Zero Sugar) and some diet 7-Up.
Today, I’ll be up by eight and out the door by nine. I’ll stop at the ATM (Attaining the Money), then I’ll go have a breakfast somewhere and then I’ll go to the mail place and pick up some shampoo that arrived yesterday, then we have a noon to four rehearsal, after which I’ll come right home and watch, listen, and relax.
Tomorrow, I will sleep in as much as possible and hopefully I’ll be not on the verge of getting sick anymore and I’ll feel sprightly and springy, as an old Jew should. Monday we’re off, too, so I’ll use that day to just rest up and I will, of course, keep taking all my preventatives. Tuesday, we resume rehearsals and hopefully our leading lady will be well enough to come back to us so we can finish blocking the show by the end of the week. We must assemble the show after that and do as many run-throughs as we can. We rehearse Tuesday through Sunday, I think – or maybe Sunday’s off again – can’t remember.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, but up by eight and out the door by nine, I must visit the ATM (All the Tuna), stop at the mail place, have breakfast, have a four-hour rehearsal, eat a snack afterwards, and then watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: What recurring dream has been the MOST recurring? Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy to be done writing the hallucinogenic notes.
