Well, dear readers, I must write these here notes in a hurry, for the midnight hour is upon us and therefore they notes are late and late notes are not the norm, oh, no, late notes are not the norm. So, let me jump right in and make these here notes as boring as possible. I got eight and a half hours of sleep – that was good. I got up, answered e-mails and began futzing and finessing, which took a while – smoothing out things, deleting things, and adding things. I ordered a submarine sandwich from a very good jernt and that arrived thirty minutes later and was good. I wrote a few new pages, but then got stuck having to research a bunch of stuff – I do enjoy it and I do find interesting things to use in addition to what I’m actually searching for, but boy does it slow down the process. Anyway, other than a few breaks, that is all I did all day and all night. I did have a bagel and cream cheese in the afternoon, and then later in the evening, some tempura. That was it for food. I did sit on my couch like so much fish, watching the start of a few motion pictures and I had a nice telephonic conversation with dear reader Jeanne. I wasted an hour on the phone with UPS because a package came for me and they said it was delivered and yet it was not outside my front door. Turns out they HAD delivered it – to the back house, not mine. Irritating. I had a few e-mail volleys, too, and got a nice modern major miracle to boot, which was very helpfully helpful. Then more researching, then more writing. I’ve done ten pages so far and I’m not going to bed until I do five more and then I will be halfway through this new book. And after this batch of pages, there shouldn’t really be any more research to do, so that’s good. I found a few movies I’d like to watch and perhaps I might even be able to watch one this evening should I buckle down, Winsocki, and write a lot during the daylight hours. And believe it or not, Ripley, that was my day and that was my evening.
Today, I’ll try to be up by eleven, I’ll futz and finesse, I’ll write new pages, I’ll probably go to the mail place to see what’s what, I’ll eat something fun, probably from around there, I’ll come home, I’ll write more pages, and then at some point I’ll watch, listen, and relax.
Tomorrow and Sunday are more of the same. Next week we’ll have another casting session, so that will be fun, and I think I’ll be meeting with two count them two set designers and hopefully I’ll be able to choose one of them. I’m hoping the guy who lit 70, Girls, 70 will do this show, too. And then we’ll be set except for casting.
Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, try to be up by eleven, futz and finesse, write new pages, go to the mail place, get something to eat, come home, write more new pages, and then watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Friday – what is currently in your CD player and your DVD/Blu and Ray/streaming player? I’ll start – CD, nothing. Blu-ray, Hatari. Your turn. Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, hoping nobody minded the brevity of the notes, for brevity is the soul of wit. Unless you’re a fish – in which case, brevity is the sole of fish.
