JERRY HERMAN’S NOTES

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, I am a bleary, weary, dearie, and I was thinking about dictating these here notes with Siri but she’s too damn cheery, and I’m too damn leery, perhaps I should query, but then I just get teary. Well, that’s enough of THAT. What am I, a rhyming dictionary all of a sudden? Hey, what if Jerry Herman wrote these here notes, And I might go something like this.

Hello, BK,

Well, hello BK,

It’s so nice to have the notes where they belong.

You’re lookin’ fat, BK,

Wear a hat, BK,

You’re still growing, like a Boeing, you’re still going strong.

I feel the jernt moving,

And we’re all grooving,

Writing posting after hosting night and day,

Hey!

Gotta run, fellas,

Though I may weigh a ton, fellas,

BK will never stop this blog,

Reading it can be quite a slog,

BK is here for good he’s here to stay!

That goofy Jerry. Anything to for a lark. Yesterday was a day in which I only got three hours of sleep. I had a nice breakfast with Robert Yacko. That was fun. Then I stopped at the mail place to mail a letter, did a few errands, and then came home. I proofed over 100 pages, so that took up most of the day. At six-thirty I moseyed on over to the theater for callbacks. We mixed and matched and I do believe we’ve found our merry troupe. After that, I came right home, answered a lot of e-mails. I now have my blood test appointment on Friday and am waiting for a referral for the CAT scan.

Today, I’ll be up when I’m up, I’ll try proofing another hundred pages, then I’m having a celebratory meal in honor of finishing the new book. After that, I’ll probably watch, listen, and relax.

Tomorrow is more of the same, Friday is the blood test, which won’t take long, and if I’m finished proofing the book then I can get it to the official proofers. Then next week is very busy as we get ready to begin music rehearsals.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m up, try proofing another hundred pages, have a celebratory meal, nd then watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: It’s Ask BK Day, the day in which you get to ask me or any dear reader any old question you like and we get to give any old answer we like. So, let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy to have Jerry Herman’s Notes.
