PRE-ORDER LINK FOR THE NEW BOOK IS LIVE

Bruce Kimmel Photograph bk's notes

Well, dear readers, I will tell you true, I had me a real old-fashioned ME day yesterday and I don’t care who knows it. I did not one work-related thing all the livelong day and evening. I got ten hours of good sleep with some mighty weird dreams along the way, I did answer e-mails and had telephonic conversations but that was all brief and easy. For food it was the small plate thing at Panda Express and that was good. Not much chow mein this time and much more white rice than usual and that was fine. I only ate a tiny bit of the rice anyway. Later in the evening, I had two low-fat, low-calorie hot dogs and that was it for food (doof, spelled backwards). What else? Oh, I puttered here and I puttered there, never left the home environment, did watch a few irritating YouTube videos (food ones), once again tried to watch a motion picture and failed miserably, and that was really about it. A real old-fashioned ME day and evening. I am ready to type up a prop list, however. But not before midnight. But you see, this is the problem with a ME day. There is nothing to write about. There is a positive dearth of things to write about and therefore you end up with short notes, so short, in fact, that they are barely notes at all. I am hoping that the book preorder will be up before I post these here notes, so we’ll leave the next space blank until I have the link

THIS SPACE RESERVED FOR BOOK PRE-ORDER LINK.

NOTE: Link will NOT be live today. Hopefully soon. Software problems with our designer.

Today will be a busy day in certain ways. I’ll be up when I’m up, I must type up a prop list for Drat! The Cat! and that bit of business will probably take a couple of hours. I’m hoping to do the Macy’s return that I didn’t do the other day, and I need to put gas in the motor car, too. I’ll probably make hot dogs and/or tuna sandwiches for food, since I have those ingredients here in the home environment, and I’d like to wrap everything up by two or three in the afternoon, so that I can watch, listen, and relax for the rest of the day.

Tomorrow, we’re back rehearsing and it will be an all-review rehearsal, reviewing all the group numbers we’ve done – drilling them and getting them as tight as possible. If at the end of doing that, I still have time, I might stage the first half of Today is a Day for a Band to Play song, and maybe even the second half. That would be great to get out of the way, and they’re both pretty straightforward. Wednesday, our leading lady is back, and we’ll be blocking all the huge scenes that she’s involved in. We’ve already staged most, if not all, her songs. I believe we’ll begin by tackling the endlessly long Dancing with Alice sequence, which is VERY long. And then the scene that follows the ballet thing we did is also VERY long. If I can at least get those done, then I think that’s most of act one and then we’ve done a bit of act two already and the scenes are MUCH shorter. Thursday, we continue on from wherever we were, Friday is off but it’s a scary day for me because I’m having the CAT scan and while I’ve been told what that entails, I’m still nervous and in terrain I know nothing of. Then Saturday is the longer rehearsal. Then the good news for us is that the currently running show closes on Sunday and their set will be immediately struck so we’ll finally have our stage taped out for us, which will be really helpful.

Well, dear readers, I must take the day, I must do the things I do, I must, for example, be up when I’m up, I’ll type the prop list, followed by a short sound effects list, do a Macy’s return, put gas in the motor car, eat, and then I can finally watch, listen, and relax. Today’s topic of discussion: What are the best hot dogs you’ve ever had? What condiments do you like on your dogs? I’ll start – best hot dogs were the late, lamented The Wiener Factory. Oh, how the Darling Daughter and I loved The Wiener Factory. I could down four of their dogs easily. I would always have the red cabbage and cheese and mustard and onion dogs. Nothing has ever come close to those dogs. The late, lamented Jerry’s Deli did a really good grilled chili, cheese, and onion dog. Your turn. Let’s have loads of lovely postings, shall we, whilst I hit the road to dreamland, happy that the book is up for pre-order and hoping all you lovely dear readers will get yourselves a copy.
