I thought you were still allowed in the pedastal.

Yes, I think you can do that, but not up into the arm or the crown.

Will we never get to page eight?

I'll bet we do.

More of Brenda's health issues  tonight on the CLOSER, with her doctor, S. Epatha Merkensen. I wonder if any DR's will guess correctly as to what ails her?

Well, since my guess about menopause seems to be wrong, how about diabetes?

Happy that you stuck with it, DR Penny O and that you're on your way to your master's degree. I, too, began my master's as soon as I finished my B.A.

I did finally watch all of the remaining episodes of HOME IMPROVEMENT in the seventh season box. One more season box to go which I'll start tomorrow - EIGHT SIMPLE RULES, John Ritter's last series.

For all my guessing, it would probably help if I watched the show...

Next, I put in the ROYAL WEDDING DVD and watched the "making of" documentary on it. Nice interviews with the usual talking heads (Richard Barrios, Miles Krueger, John Fricke, all of whom I like) and then they get to some folks who were actually INVOLVED with the production: Jane Powell and Stanley Donen.

Next, I watched the outtake musical number, Peter Lawford's reprise of "Every Night at Seven." What a joy to see this for the very first time in my life. I had no idea the footage was still around.

I had enough time to watch about 20 minutes of ROYAL WEDDING.

What gorgeous, rich, and DEEPLY saturated Technicolor!! This is what we all dreamed THE GANG'S ALL HERE would look like. The reds and yellows pop right off the screen. Can't wait to watch the rest of it tomorrow.

I enjoyed THE CLOSER tonight, but for a change, I had no trouble discerning the murderer. I'm about on track so far this season as far as guessing. Usually, I'm not even in the ballpark, but occasionally I can piece things together myself and get to the same resolution.

SAVING GRACE once again had a jumbled sense of storytelling which isn't aided by the intrusions of that angel who swoops down at inopportune moments. And I find the dialog very hard to follow. Hunter's mushy Southern accent along with others who mumble or speak rapidly I find confusing.

I guessed the correct killer as well, but it was sheer luck. I wasn't really sure I knew clearly who all of the suspects were.

I think all I said was that it was part of a storyline that would continue over several more episodes.

She is having perimenopausal symptoms, but there's more to it than that. All will be revealed in Episode 310. (Tonight's was 307...) And we'll see S. Epatha again in that episode.

DR Cilla: The boat tour I was talking about was the 2-hour tour. It's really quite nice.

DR PennyO: CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm so happy for you!

Me, too, and I'm used to Southern accents (and I guess you are, too, Matt!)

I didn't get home from the laundromat in time to see either show. Although I am very familiar with THE CLOSER episodes, watching them at home on HD is a different experience from viewing them in the editing room.

Finally back from two count them two meetings.  Must now sit on my couch - I think I'll put in a DVD that arrived today, because I'm not in the mood to finish Red Dawn right now.

Absolutely. Being born in the SOuth and having lived here my entire life, I've encountered seemingly every kind of Southern accent, but I find Holly Hunter's particularly trying.

Yep about HDTV. Makes ALL the difference in the world in viewing these episodes. And that opening panoramic shot tonight was simply breathtaking.

Back to Brenda Leigh for a second: her misery over these symptoms  suffering while trying to do a very stressful, hazardous job makes me feel SO sorry for her. What a GREAT sympathetic hook for the audience.
