Several surprises:  a sweet elderly gay couple came today looking for my DVDs, which had already pre-sold, but I had a bag of VHS, and one of the guys went to his car and brought back a HUGE three ring binder of all of his movie collection, alphabetized, so that he didn't buy something he already had. ;)  I told him I needed one of those for CDs.  Anyhoo, he looked through my VHS and just kept saying "Oh my God, Oh my God," and took most of them.  It was sweet.

Then a total old codger came by and totally surprised me by wanting to open a computer tower I had for sale for parts, so that he could look at various components, and he took that.  Don't judge a book. . .

Wise lesson to learn.  Remember, Albert Einstein is an old codger to most of us; and a hot date to MBarnum.

In other news...

I called my nephew, John Michael, between shows to see if he wanted to see the show next weekend. He said, "Yes". He also said he wanted to bring his... wait for it... girlfriend(?!?!?!?!) (He's 12.)

The fact that LaChiusa is 12 explains a lot about his music.

DR JMK - Congrats on a successful garage sale?

Did you sell Gabe and Zach as a pair or separately? ;)

Um... That would be a little funny if my nephew's name was Michael John. -And if anyone read your posts.

Is Cilla working today?

No, Cilla went to the Greek Fest and ate some great tasting Greek food.  Then she came home and slowly started filling sick to her stomach.  Let's just say Greek food tastes better the first time.

I didn't have any alcohol, so I think it has to be something I ate.  I don't have a fever or any of the stomach flu symptoms.

I'm mostly bummed because I was going to make a really good dinner tonight, but since I can't seem to keep anything down at the moment, I guess I'll wait until tomorrow.   I may try a baked potato in a little while

I was there when they opened today.  This is the first year the festival has been 2 days...I'm wondering if last night when they closed down they had some left overs that had been out awhile and they served them this morning.

Canada has adopted interesting way to safe guard your purchase. Just like your ATM card the Credit Cards have a chip in the, and you need a PIN to finalize the purchase. (An ATM card can be used as CC in the US without the pin number) In restaurants they bring over a small mobile machine where you insert the card, (look over the charges and aff tip) you put in your PIN  number and you take out the card. The waiter never touches it. A look of retail stores have also adopted this methoc.

Perhaps the US should adopt this put a micro chip in ATM and force to put in your pin before the transaction can be completed amd do the same for credit cards. It may cost money to do this, but it would cut down on fraud and the milliond of dollars lost to fraud.

Yes my credit card now has a PIN number.
