Last night, we watched FIRST COW, which seems to be winning most of the film critics awards for 2020.
My wife didn't care for it, and I thought it was just so-so.
Certainly they did an excellent job of re-creating the time and place.
There was an interesting story somewhere in there, but the film could have easily lost 15-20 minutes. It would have also been nice if they'd lit the night scenes better, so that you could tell who was who and what was happening.
Is this really the best film we have this year?
