What I want to know is, Jennifer...which former houseguest got your vote to return to the house this week?

Mine include wussburgering and quality time with my pillow.

Well, that didn't come out exactly right, but you know what I mean!  :)

After contemplating today's notes, I want to watch BABY DOLL.

I love Carroll Baker....and she just glows....LOL....so funny.

Dentist:  Can you type?
Baby Doll:  No.  But I write a real nice hand.

And when they come to repossess her furniture, she runs after the truck holding a lamp in one hand.  They stop the truck and come back and take the lamp.

And the old auntie who screams when the phone rings....

I've just received (and an listening to) The Golden Age Of the Andrews Sisters. Great 4 CD set and so inexpensive. I purchased it for "I didn't know the gun was loaded" which I've not hot heard since I was kid.
The sisters are at the moment attempting to interest me in seafood (Hold Tight). It's not going to happen.

"I Didn't Know the Gun Was Loaded" was a big hit for my sister and me when we sang it - of course I was 9 and she was 6.

DR Ron Pulliam - Is your Mom's recipe for fried okra of the "slice some okra up, coat it with cornmeal, and then fry it up in a cast iron skillet in some oil and/or butter until it's almost black" kind?  or is it more like the "slice up some okra, dip in an eggwash and flour and cornmeal, then fry it up in some oil" kind?

DR TOMovOZ - The Andrews Sisters version is great....but the best version I ever heard was Miss Judy Canova!

Jane, I'm beginning to get concerned about all these dogs running into you and causing you injury. Soon you will have to wear football pads whe you go out walking

 ;D

The dogs at class were all very well behaved and not a single one bashed into me  :)

Regarding yesterday's phone exchange discussion, ours was EMerson 2-. I, too remember party lines- we didn't have one but I had farm friends who had them and we used to pick up and listen to people talk when we were kids - calling our own number and hanging up to make the phone ring.  We used to be terrible brats playing on the phone....

Shortly after Bryan was born I received a phone call asking if my washing machine was running.  Of course I asked "why, did it just run past your house?"  Boy, was I a bit hit.  So much so that the boy kept calling me.  It finally took his hearing Bryan cry to convince him I was not a teenage girl. ;D

Had to share this email from a friend in Brisbane Oz (He's orginally from Montana):

I had a communication from an ex-coworker this morning that started off with "Are you alive?"  Thinking it was going to be another commentary about my slack communication skills (no I don't send personal emails any better than I did snail mail) I opened the email in a defensive mood.  I chuckled to myself as I read the comments about "I heard from someone that you had passed away 2 years ago and as I had an email from you as recently as 8 months I wanted to know if you were really alright."

So I replied with a brief update as to what I was doing and where I was working.  Thinking to myself that I need to keep in touch better I was very surprised at the reply emails that have been coming back to me.  Most have been very positive and filled with "relief that you are still with us".  The real clincher was from the company facility's manager asking what he was supposed to do with the "Employees who have passed away" plaque.  Yep, I have been officially marked as having died 2 years ago while working in Australia.  Apparently, there was even a bit of a memorial gathering at the local pub in SF in my honour.

Of course this does open up some real tricky questions:
Does Mincom pay resurectees/zombies as much as normal employees?
As a "dead person" is it easier to get Australian citizenship?
For that matter, as a "dead person" can I stop paying taxes?
If I really did die and am still working at Mincom, did I go to heaven or ....?

It doesn't get much stranger.....

Jane, you and my sister would be quite a pair!  She slipped in the bathroom on New Year's Eve.  She had just recovered from that when she tripped coming out of a restaurant and broke different ribs.   Last week she was fighting the virus that is running thru the Northwest.  Today she finally returned to work and the first thing she showed was her thumb which she broke on Saturday.

;DI can't resist........Is this like the pot calling the kettle black? ;)

It may have been Ms Canova's version I remember DR Jand. I've just never been able to find a recording of the song until now.

All of the contestants from AMERICAN IDOL live in a house together?  It sounds like two reality shows rolled into one.

That wife might explain the hookers.

I was thinking she looks pretty good for a woman in her position.

You know, I hate dislike hate not being able to post during the day at work.  Instead, when I get home from work, I go through and read all of the posts and respond; and mine all end up in one big clump.  I suppose that is easier for those people who prefer to skip my posts entirely.

;D I hate when that happens, mine not yours.  I feel like I'm talking too much.

Yes, considering that she is the only woman in his personal life whose position is standing.

And to round our meal, we walked down to Make My Cake for dessert.  Michael selected a vanilla cupcake with strawberry frosting, and I had a slice of their coconut cake - which happened to have a layer of pineapple filling between the cake layers.  Again... YUM!

I want a piece of red velvet cake!  White cake with pineapple filling is good.  Do they also have that?

Thanks DRs Ginny, FJL, &  Singdaw (sorry if I missed someone) for the vibes.

My allergies have been bad so I’m going to take a Benadryl tonight.  Maybe then I’ll get a good night’s sleep and boost my resistance which the allergies & lack of sleep have reduced.
