Well, we know why DR Jose, the scourge of God, goes:  the ambience and he's a tramp.

Gee...this wouldn't be a case of pot-kettle-black now would it?

Don't let them judge you MBarnum. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

I agree with you, Tom.

MBarnum is unique in his tastes.   ;D

Let no one presume to admonish him about them.  ;)

Good Afternoon!

Greetings from Fairfax!

The drive back was nice and easy.  Thankfully, I noticed the "Roadway Closed Signs" at the almost last second before entering the "express lanes" after the George Washington Bridge.  -Hmm... None of the previous signs said the roadway was closed, and didn't I just see a couple of cars go that direction?  Well... About a mile later, I saw the backup starting to build on the other side, and another mile down I saw the tractor trailer that had jack-knifed in the roadway and was, consequently, blocking all the lanes of traffic.  -At least in the "express lanes".  Whew!

I'm guessing it was a very recent accident, and the police probably tripped the "Roadway Closed" sign at the Express Lane entrance a few moments before I saw it.  Double-whew!

-I also spied another accident in the express lanes a little further down.... Triple-Whew!

Otherwise, it was a nice trip back.

I had forgotten ICE STATION ZEBRA was released a couple of years ago. I'd love to see it again despite its overlength.

DR JRand, tell me how the DVD looks and sounds quiality-wise if you please!

Will do, DRMATTH.  I will be watching it later tonight.   ;D

DR MBARNUM you must go to www.ulc.org and be ordained!

Does one have to believe in a deity to be ordained?

Back from a really nice rehearsal with Linda.  We've got her presentation down to the necessary running time of twenty minutes (they give you the hook if you go over), and she'd doing a great job with it.

Jennifer, the two reviews I quoted from were at reviewplays.com - but I give you warning that the Jose Ruiz review is loaded with spoilers - he gives away everything but the final plot point.

LOL...not necessarily.  :D

I've a problem with this "ten discs" thing.

If that means we can include sets, then that means that I can include Good Eats as a "disc", even though my collection now counts thirty-six discs.

This doesn't strike me as being truly in the spirit of what our esteemed BK intended.

So much for my including Good Eats.   :-\

My ten discs, in alpha order:

The Adventures of Robin Hood.  Fully agree with Pogue on this, it has to be included.

Fantasia 2000.  The original film is on my alternates list, along with All That Jazz, but there's something about the verve to the newer film that keeps bringing me back.

The Great Race.

The Music Man.  And I don't mean the Broderick version.

Singing in the Rain.

Sunday in the Park with George.

Tarzan.  The Disney version.  Anyone got a problem with that?  Grrrrr!

2001: a Space Odyssey.

The World is Not Enough.  My favorite Bond.

Young Frankenstein.

Time to get dinner going.  Tonight, I'm trying to make Sweedish Meatballs for the first time.

A former Spaghetti Western actor who I am in the midst of interviewing just sent me an e-mail and referred to me as "my potential, youthful Buddha"

I kind of like that!

Uh, oh!  Hopefully, no one will meet you in the middle of the road.

Yes, I am familiar with them both... FC were popular back in the 70s and 80s.

I only discovered them in 1986.  I like this latest lineup they have.  if you haven't heard nay of ther  'more recent stuff" (say the past 15 years! LOL) you should give them a listen.

Have you ever seen the Bards in person?  That is where they really excell!
