I have been watching Maggie Smith in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, which I've had from Netflix for 'way too long.  Just as I started the DVD the phone rang and it was someone from the New Theatre Group (production company of the Cynthia Nixon Brodie that DH Richard and I saw last month in NYC) calling to ask for money.  Isn't that weird?

Back to Brodie.

DR FJL

Did I ever mention that on my IPOD are two songs by DP Skip called "I Almost Cry" and "I Shut the Door"?

Michael -  Very cool!  Skip will be happy about that.  They must be from Alix Korey's CD.

Thanks for the DREAMGIRLS info, DR MS....I know DRtd reported on it a few days ago.  I am feeling blue...and a little anxious....and a bit depressed that I should feel anxious at this age.....

DR EDISAURUS - I am so glad that you are now an ADVENTURERA-ean....yes, the rest of it is just as glorious....special thanks to DR MBARNUM who ALWAYS knows just what viewing material to send!

I am still astonished at the budget for stage entertainment in a third rate Mexican whorehouse - but hey - I'm from Indiana, what do I know?

Looking forward to MR BK's thoughts on DREAMGIRLS.

I guess I have mixed feelings about Ms Jennifer Holliday's song....seems really scary to me!

Smelling the odor of burnt rubber is sometimes neurological, and if your actress suffers from migraine headaches, this could be the signal of an oncoming attack.

Now that the dishwasher is finished, I'm going to switch our everyday dishes for our Christmas dishes.

I also visited a craft store this afternoon to pick up a few items.  I really wish there was a Michaels or AC Moore here in the city.  I probably could have saved a few bucks, not to mention had a much bigger selection to choose from.  I'm going to have to see if maybe a friend with a car can take me into New Jersey sometime for a craft run or perhaps I can just have my mother pick up a few items and ship them to me.

Try this... It's been very useful to me over the years as "Class Craft Mom" for the Vixter's kindergarten  - 5th grade years , Sunday School classes for the past 18 years, as a Girl Scout Leader and for n=birthday parties and church Christmas fairs.

Today was spent going to church, attending a Sunday School teachers meeting, teaching Sunday school, buying a couple of stocking stuffers for Vixdad, attending the Vixter's basketball game (they were badly trounced), grocery shopping, getting a manicure so I would look my best for my first day at the new job tomorrow, grocery shopping, cooking dinner, driving the Vixter to her Church Youth Group meeting, eating dinner with Vixdad while watching  Conan the Barbarian II   ( NOT my choice!) picking up the from her youth group and checking in here.

That light up cube with the Butterfly would probably tickle  the Vixter's fancy... what color does it light up in? (blue or violet would be her favorites)

Do you "do" mail order?

I'm watching Lewis and Clark. I've seen it many times.  I used to be a docent at our Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center.  I was really into it...when things got wierd, I just went back to 1804 in my mind...I'm thinking about reading more of the journals....it was a fascinating expedition

I'm actually fascinated with Meriwether Lewis.  There are many theories about his depression and his suicide/murder.  Most historians believe it was suicide, but there are still questions about that too. Very interesting.

After watching the Match Game documentary, I'm feeling sad that Gene Rayburn's last 15 years or so after the show's cancellation were so unhappy.
