I'm going to eat some small foodstuffs, then I shall return.  Apparently CDs will be here tomorrow or Thursday (I'm thinking Thursday) but I haven't addressed one package, so that will be my afternoon tomorrow.

The day is finally done and I'm not doing any more days like this for a LONG LONG time.

I assume not everyone appreciated your constructive criticism.

Very easy to detect killer in this episode with a much too obvious clue very early. The Tony inheritance subplot was also very enjoyable.

And equally obvious as to how it would turn out!!  :)

But imagine my surprise to log on and find a paltry seven pages.  Skammen.

Well, I could have delivered an opinionated blow-by-blow of the President's speech - that would have generated some posts :D

TOD:

I'd either go back to the Age of Pericles in ancient Greece, or I'd travel with the army of Alexander.  I'd love to have been able to find out how they knew some of the things they knew.

My friend Ron goes livid when he hears people not speaking English.

Good thing he doesn't live in Phoenix.

Like the world's first operating steam engine - but they thought of it only as a toy - so like the Greeks! If only the Roman engineers had been able to latch onto some of that Greek science!

Actually, for all the bombast, they did.  In fact, at the end of the day, in one way or another, they will do everything I asked them to.

Has everbody agreed on a "mission statement" and a "vision"?

I am trying to request service for the printer through the company's website. It seems the website isn't working. Or maybe I have sent it five times.

Four and twenty blackbirds baked into a pie - and you only ate one!

Of course the French "borrowed" roast hummingbird from the Romans

I dislike statements.

Especially the "overdrawn" ones from the bank.

der Brucer

Both.  I always start out as Atticus, but sometimes have to end up as Dirty Harry - one of the authors is very loud and very stubborn and he interrupts and I must say he met his match in me and finally knew it - because every time he interrupted or tried to talk over me I was louder, faster, and more bombastic.  It was funny.  At one point I called him a human flyswatter.

I'm soooo tired.  And I just ate about four of those little bite-sized dark chocolate things from Hershey's - they've been in my freezer since last summer, but I figured they'd be okay.

Maybe you should ask him why he's paying you if he doesn't want your input.

Looks like I will have to put my April Los Angeles trip on hold as budgetary cuts in State govt. are in the works, and it looks to be massive.

Our agency may end up being open only 3 days a week and if that happens I won't be able to afford to visit the other side of town let alone to Hollywood.

The library system where I work has to cut $2.5 million out of next year's budget because of the failed levy lid lift.  They're going to have a series of meetings with the public to decide what programs/hours, etc., to cut.  It won't be pretty. :-\
